The hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly. The bed is a bit hard for most Americans (but probably not for Europeans). I found it very convenient that the hotel has a restaurant which offers a buffet style dinner for a good price (15 euros - which includes soup, salad, main course and dessert). The "Fussgangerzone" (pedestrian zone) starts right behind the hotel and there is a nice walk to the Jahnplatz with lots of cafes and restaurants and shopping possibilities on the way. The hotel is also close to the Sparrenburg and conveniently located with respect to the local train (called Stadtbahn) stations and the main railway station.
Hotel location was great. We were there during the "Linen Weavers" Festival - no linen, but a lot of vendors, food, entertainment, rides. Even though the venue was right outside the hotel, our room was quiet. Convenient to old town, shopping, transportation. Inexpensive parking garage. In room electrical outlets were not convenient and the beds were hard, but otherwise, a great stay.
