I chose the Mercure Béziers Hotel as a convenient overnight stop on the second night of driving from the UK en route to Spain. I booked a parking space in advance and was happy with the good secure underground parking. The hotel room was small, but adequately equipped and fine for one night. The staff were very polite and spoke good English. Breakfast was the only let down. There was just one staff member who didn’t seem to be able to keep up with stocking the breakfast items as well as clearing and cleaning so we had to wait for juice and some other items just never got restocked. The hotel is well placed to walk into Beziers and we enjoyed our visit.
The hotel is clean and the staff are willing help with any problems and information you might need. There English is not good so brush up on your French. The Breakfast is wholesome and the Coffee machine was brilliant. Parking in there under ground is not for the the faint hearted. So take it slowly as you find your spot. Also remember to get your exit card when you check out.
The new bathrooms and foam bed and pillows were good. Wifi was good. The carpets and decor were tired and in need of refurbishment. Breakfast was disappointing, especially the fresh fruit offering. The room was a larger "Privilege", and the size was good. However, it didn't feel particularly special: attention to detail was poor e.g. no milk in our room. The air conditioning was inefficient. As a regular Mercure visitor, this was disappointing.
Stayed for one night, rooms are what you would expect from a Mercure Hotel. Very clean and all staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel is well located near to lots of restaurants etc and within walking distance of the train station.
This hotel is well located for the center of the very charming town and to the railway and is smart, comfortable, quiet and has very courteous and helpful staff. The air conditioning works well and the wifi is fast. Breakfast was good.
Good breakfast, comfortable beds and convenient location; tiny rooms and more basic than the UK equivalent. Rather claustrophobic after a couple of days as no outside space and no views. A business hotel really.
stayed here twice - two years apart - nothing changed :)....the hotel is warm and welcoming, the only thing that i would change is the breakfast diversity - would love more choices. Staff is really friendly - i do not recommend dry cleaning though - clothes came back almost the same - but with a nasty smell... Overall - i think it`s a perfect choice for a couple of days....
This hotel is advertised as 4* but is only 2/3*. The rooms are small and the air-conditioning didn't work. We paid 98€ and had to pay an additional 9€ for parking. On the plus side, the hotel is centrally-situated, the Wi-Fi is free, the breakfast was good and the public areas were quite pleasant. As for Beziers, it looks quite attractive in the sunshine as you approach but close up it's very run-down and dilapidated - a real dump. I'll never go there again and I couldn't recommend it to anyone else..
Reading the Trip Advisor reviews told us that the rooms were small so we booked a privileged room and found it was quite large and comfortable. Vary close to the city center and tourist information center so we were able to walk to the sights. Underground hotel parking was nine Euros, but there was no on street parking on the busy street the hotel was located on. Breakfast was good but a bit slow in getting the food from the kitchen when it needed replenishing. A good stay!
Useful secure parking, comfortable night's sleep in a privilege room, the standard rooms are impractical for more than one person and friendly staff make for a convenient stop over in Bezier. Breakfast was most acceptable, and although there is no restaurant on site, a range of tapas, and snacks are available, or there is a boulangerie and patissiere, an ok Morrocan restaurant over the road.
