About this property
HTS Mosel Apartment Wanderlust Bernkastel Andel
About this accommodation The HTS Moselapartment Wanderlust duplex—perfect for wine and Moselle lovers, active travelers, and those seeking a break!
The apartment features a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, freezer, and dishwasher, as well as a dining area with a unique view of the Moselle and real wood furniture. On the upper level, you’ll find a modern bathroom, the bedroom, and a living area with a sleeper sofa, allowing the apartment to accommodate up to 4 people. Bicycles you bring with you can be stored safely in the hallway. The Accommodation Our lovingly furnished vacation apartment is located in Bernkastel-Kues-Andel, one of the most beautiful wine villages on the Moselle. Enjoy the charm of the historic old town with its half-timbered houses, romantic alleyways, and cozy wine bars or restaurants—all just a few minutes’ walk away. The Moselle region is known for its excellent Riesling wines, sun-drenched vineyards, and impressive castles. Picturesque hiking and biking trails start right outside the door, for example, through the vineyards or along the Moselle. Popular destinations such as Landshut Castle, Lieser Castle, the Moselsteig trail, or a boat trip to Traben-Trarbach will make your stay unforgettable. Whether you’re looking for an active vacation, sporting activities, a wine tour, or a relaxing getaway—you’ll find the ideal starting point here for eventful days along the Moselle. Guest Access As a guest at the Wanderlust Apartment, you’ll have access to 24/7 self-check-in, which is contactless. Additional Important Information Dining: The Moselle region also has a lot to offer when it comes to delicious food and fine wines. Aside from the numerous winemakers and their beautiful wine shops (I’d like to recommend the Licht-Stadtfeld Winery to guests here, with its excellent wines—if you’re interested, I’d be happy to organize a wine testing), there are also several excellent restaurants that make a visit to the Moselle well worth it. I’m happy to recommend restaurants to guests that I personally enjoy visiting myself.
Sports and Entertainment: The Moselle region has plenty to offer when it comes to sports and entertainment. There are beautiful bike paths that are perfect for lovely excursions. For example, the Maare-Mosel Bike Trail takes you to Europe’s largest maars, which are definitely worth a visit and provide a beautiful backdrop for walks. Another stunning setting is offered by the Geierley suspension bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Europe. The Erbeskopf, the highest point in Rhineland-Palatinate, is also not to be overlooked, as it’s an excellent spot for sledding and skiing—especially in winter (including a ski lift)—and offers great fun for young and old alike. Hiking along the Moselle is also a great option; highly recommended here are the alpaca hikes offered in Bernkastel-Kues, as well as the Kanonenbahn route, a historic railway. The Teufelsschlucht is also worth a visit. To visit Landshut Castle, take the Landshut Express, which departs daily on the hour from the riverbank in Bernkastel. To explore Bernkastel’s sights, I recommend a ride on the Panoramabahn, which guarantees a great view of the town. For families, the Teufelsschlucht Dinosaur Park might also be of interest. In general, the region offers a wide range of family-friendly activities: there’s the Eifel-Park in Gondorf and the Wildlife & Recreation Park in Klotten, which are sure to delight children but also guarantee a wonderful day for adults, as does the Tolli-Park in Mayen. The Riol recreational lake is also an absolute highlight, as you can go water skiing there, rent a rowboat, or enjoy a ride down the summer toboggan run. On hot days, canoe trips also promise plenty of fun. For those who aren’t afraid of heights, the bouldering gym in Wittlich or the Mosel Adventure Forest is just the thing. If you’re still looking for an adrenaline rush afterward, you should book a tandem flight over the Moselle and enjoy the spectacular views, or pay a visit to the karting hall in Wittlich, where 24-hour races are held regularly. Harry Potter fans will also find something to love along the Moselle, as the Spitzhäuschen in Bernkastel served as a backdrop for the penultimate film and is therefore a must-see. But even those who prefer a more laid-back pace can find plenty to enjoy here, such as a Segway tour along the Moselle, a fun game of mini-golf at one of the many mini-golf courses (which also regularly host the Mini-Golf Bundesliga), or a completely relaxing boat cruise on the Moselle. The Mosel Wine Museum is also worth a visit. Thanks to its proximity to the Mosel and the maars, there’s also the option to rent your own boat and cruise the waters. For those looking for an unforgettable day of relaxation, I highly recommend the Moseltherme in Traben-Trarbach—a perfect combination of swimming and sauna facilities. Wittlich also has a large movie theater; for those who prefer a smaller one, the Moselkino in Bernkastel is the better choice. Those in the mood for more festive events will certainly be delighted by the numerous wine festivals along the Moselle. The tourist information offices in Wittlich and Bernkastel can provide more details. For motorcycle enthusiasts, the annual Harley-Davidson rally is a highlight, while fans of folk music and traditional Bavarian attire will be delighted by the Oktoberfest and its many performances (from late September through late October).
The apartment is heated and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Guests can expect to find a TV with satellite channels. The bathroom offers hair dryers and free toiletries. Other standard amenities include an electric kettle and an ironing board.
