D Day Trip

It was wonderful be in Normandy for the 80th Anniversary of D Day. It was great to be in a small town with all the necessary stores so close by and to experience a French Norman town during the Festival.

The house is well situated very close to the beach and is an ideal base for travelling around the area to visit for the WW11 Normandy landings, museums etc.The house is well equipped and is very close to a local supermarket. The bedrooms are clean with plenty of storage. The shower and bathroom also nice and clean.It was very nice sitting in the conservatory for meals, enjoying the Autumn sunshine!A few things could have been better, but this is for an older couple maybe!The bedroom we were in had a sloping roof and I couldn't sit upright to read.The lighting in the downstairs part of the house wasn't bright enough for us to enjoy reading. Also in the kitchen and downstairs toilet, which in my opinion needed much brighter lights.The people that met us on arrival didn't give us much of a handover, and only had very limited English, so there was a bit of an understanding issue. They didn't take us through how to operate the various kitchen appliances, though we worked these out for ourselves.Parking was ideal and property felt very secure.Phil, our host was attentive, delightful to speak with and very helpful.

Just perfect! 10/10

We (22, 50) have spent 10 days in Phil's marvelous cottage. The object is clean, tidy and provides for everything one needs, including a very well-equipped kitchen with very close distance to the beach. Two bathrooms (one with a shower, one with bathtub, both with toilets), three bedrooms with king-size beds and a huge, still cozy living room. A fireplace made it just perfect since we have been there in late December. Phil is a perfect host, ready to help you when you may need him. A clean and tidy house, instant and direct communication and a affectionate reception (we were one hour late) made it an unforgettable stay. Thank you Phil for making us feel home and keep up beeing a great host to your future guests.
