The hotel is 10 mns from the train station by walk. The room was comfortable, although it was giving on a street so had to sleep with closed window. The reception was really nice. Good bar downstairs. I am taking away one star for the breakfast: for 17 EUR I expected a nice choice and there wad almost morning. The coffee was disgusting.
This hotel definitely does not deserve its 3 stars by European standards. It barely deserves one star! Even though it is clean, it seems that there has not been any investment since the sixties to upgrade or maintain the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are large, but very basic and old fashioned. The staff at reception is barely friendly. Not to speak of the breakfast buffet which has the bare minimum to offer : 2 sorts of cereals, a few pieces of ham and cheese, stale and tasteless croissants. I cannot believe that such hotels still exist in Europe. Even more shocking in Switzerland which has a reputation for high quality and standards. Definitely not a place to recommend.
Stayed there when I dropped my daughter to college. It is 3 minutes from the station and across the street from the Funicular. Warm and friendly staff, service with a smile but they need to provide a small refrigerator in the rooms. Very centrally located and convenient in every way.
The location is convenient as it is very close to the railway station. But our room was in a very "sad" condition and had definitely seen better days. The receptionist was a very friendly young lady who seemed to understand English but didn't really speak anything other than French. The breakfast was sufficient - not outstandingly good but not too bad either. Although there is a car park below the hotel, it is very dark and dingey. Our stay was very expensive for what we got - but unfortunately that's the way things are in Switzerland.
A functional hotel ion the city center, near the train station. The room was clean, but the facilities are in need of some modernisation. The room was far too hot even after turning off the heat. There is supposed to be free Wi-Fi, but it is very complicated to use, and one must set up an account with Swisscom. In other words, "Forget about it!" The hotel staff aren't very helpful.
I stayed in a twin single, the bed was comfortable and clean, room was a good size. The room however was way overdue for a refurbishment. Old furniture and fittings, box tv, very brown room with an aged smell. No mini bar. Good wifi *free, shower was good but temperamental (hot and cold) and the hot water in the sink was a brownish colour... The hotel staff both bar and reception were very friendly, which makes me feel a little bad for giving this a 'poor' because I've been to 4* hotels that could take a leaf from their customer service here, but I've been to many 3* hotels which are far better than this. Breakfast is so easy to get right, and unfortunately the choice was minimal, 2xcereals, cold boiled eggs, croissants and bread with Ham, cheese and jam. One big plus however is the coffee which was fantastic.
I 've stayed at the Casino Hotel this December. The hotel is located in the center of the town, close to the rail station, shops and restaurants/coffee houses. Our room was quite big, very clean. The bathroom was spacious and very clean too. The staff was very friendly and tried to help. There is a free Wi-Fi in the hotel. Breakfast was decent. All in all we enjoyed our stay. One word of warning - checking in on a Sunday is only in the afternoon.
Rooms could perhaps do with a bit of refurbishment but it´s no big deal. Simple buffet breakfast. The atmosphere couldn´t be friendlier. Great value for money. We go back year after year, which says it all.
The hotel is located close to the train station, shopping, and the restaurants. The staff was very friendly and the owner was on site for the entire stay. He helped with the language barrier. He went way above his call of duty looking up train itineraries, weather, and helpful advise regarding some day trips that I took. This hotel was clean, the rooms were large, and the service was great. The wifi was free. And last, but not least, it felt like home town service a long way from home.
OK hotel downtown Sierre, Valais. Absolutely clean. But very old style and the rooms need urgent refurbishment. Hotel looks much nicer on its website than in reality. Breakfast was average, but OK. And I terribly suffered from taking a shower with cold water because there was no hot water that day.
