Holiday Inn Maidenhead Windsor

Normally book a hotel in Windsor but decided to book somewhere closer off the motorway as a long trip from the North. This hotel got good reviews all round for service, quality and a good breakfast. The young lady on reception was lovely, very friendly, helpful and courteous when we arrived. We were in an executive room on the third floor. A nice quiet part of the hotel. The room was fabulous, extremely spacious, a well stocked mini bar and not overpriced, a sofa and a huge television, bed was very comfortable and again another smaller television and a reclining chair. Bathroom was big with bath and shower, separately toilet and luxury toiletries. The leisure area was very clean, pool nice and quiet probably as just after Christmas and New Year and a nice warm Jacuzzi. The breakfast was fantastic, very clean, empty dishes and cups taken by the waiting staff promptly. There was a huge variety of hot and cold items, all cooked well and the restaurant staff were very friendly and polite. If you are looking for a good hotel in Maidenhead at a reasonable price that has leisure and good food then this is the hotel for you. Also has free parking which is an added bonus. Would definitely stay here next time instead of Windsor.

Stayed for one night in between Christmas and New Year. Convenient for Windsor - approx 10 mins away in the car. We booked a suite which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Just a couple of niggles - swimming pool was too warm to swim. Had to wait several minutes to check-in as there was nobody manning the reception desk. Would stay here again.

Stayed over Christmas, what a nice break. Room was spacious, beds comfortable as we were given 2 proper double beds unlike the usual sofa bed as the extra double. Bathroom is a bit tight, no issue to us as we prefer the extra space for the room itself. Kids were given activity packs during check-in and vouchers for cookies and milk. My kids loved the pool as there was a separate pool for children and the temperature was set nicely. Ate dinner twice, waiting time was long maybe because it was the holidays and short of staff. Limited choice for those who have dinner included but food was nice and the portion was huge. Never been able to finish them. Staff very friendly from front office to the restaurant to cleaners Now the negatives: Room temperature was too hot when we were there, it was set at 25 degrees. Even if you set your room temperature at 18, it just didn’t work. Maybe we had a faulty device. Called the front office and was told to switch it off but even then it was still too hot to our liking. Kids play area could do with a bit of an update on the toys or perhaps a soft play would be better All in all we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back

We have stayed here twice now as it’s easy access to motorway. Pleasantly greeted on arrival and was given a ground floor room. We didn’t experience any traffic noise nor any noise in the corridor from other guests. Room was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was lovely. Excellent choice well cooked and the restaurant staff were friendly. We had family join us as we were all attending an event in Windsor and had some drinks at the bar when we returned which were a bit pricey. Good value convenient hotel wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

We can't remember the last time we went to a hotel of this type but we found this place to be excellent value for money. We booked a few weeks in advance and were a bit put off by the 1960s architecture but inside it was fine. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked, the dining area was clean and the staff very friendly and attentive. The bedroom was large enough for three, it was clean and very comfortable with good quality bed linen. The pool was very hot(I loved it!) and the spa area was manned by an efficient, friendly and patient gentleman. Reception were quick and efficient and successfully booked in two cars (unless the fine is in the post!) We would definitely try here before anywhere else to see if we could get a similar deal and our only gripe was about the feral neighbours in the bedroom next door but reception were very sympathetic and said, quite rightly, that we should have complained at the time (3.a.m.). So no criticism of the hotel at all and hope to return soon.

We stayed here as it was within close proximity to Friends in Maidenhead, rooms ( we had 2 ) were very adequate and quite large. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Not much to say other than it was a pleasant stay and more than served the requirements of our needs. 2 downsides (1) Rooms were too hot, ever with the temperature adjustments (2) Having to walk past people smoking at the side entrance - most off-putting.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Reception staff helpful. Ordered a round in bar at lunchtime and for a white wine and pint of lager £14.50 so not cheap! Think we were overcharged as when my husband ordered the same later it was less than £7??? Had a delicious 2 course meal in restaurant later. Plenty of breakfast in the morning served as a buffet. It was plentiful and well cooked but could have been warmer. Lovely selection of fruits and yoghurts also. We enjoyed our overnight stay.

When we arrived we had to fight through smokers stood on the door step. The check in seemed to take for ever. Our room was on the ground floor , over looking the main entrance . This meant the room was noisy and we could smell cigarette smoke. The car park was not gritted despite ice and snow. The water was tepid to say the least. Breakfast was appalling probably the worst I have ever had at an IHG property. We will find an alternative hotel when next in the area.

Perfect location for my work. Stayed many nights over last few months but did not get offered an upgrade even with top IHG status. There can be kids running about if it's Legoland season. Food pretty good. Decent gym and pool facilities.

unfortunately my charging adaptor broke and reception did not have a spare one. On top of the heating broke in my room so they gave me a heater... could have been better. the reception was very helpful and tried to fix but they only can do what they can.
