Clean and very comfortable in a central location in Reading. Great to have parking on-site. Rooms are well equipped and warm, with ample tea/coffee etc.Facilities onsite go beyond most guest houses and include an evening menu.
Overnight stay here for Business trip. Travelling alone and arriving later than expected I received a great welcome, couldn’t do enough for me and went that extra mile. Warm clean comfy room and bed, everything you need including biscuits! My food was freshly prepared at a time for me, friendly, family run hotel.
We were wanting somewhere to stay that had enough room for us and our children and they were accommodating, could have done with another single but the kids topped and tailed for the night. They place was clean and tidy. The shower door didn’t quite close properly in the bathroom so a bit of water does escape, and the bed was very firm but I’m sure you can’t please everyone! Parking was no problem at all and is off road which is great. We came back fairly late and were up early and had breakfast, continental and full English were offered and we had a right mixture and was all tasty. Overall we were happy and would probably stay again when visiting our friends.
What a wonderful find, happy helpful staff with very clean rooms. Breakfast delightful and hot. What more can I say, we will be using the hotel again. 20 minute Tran journey into Paddington station, 8 minute walk to Reading West train station, bus stops less than a 5 minute walk.
We were travelling with a baby and were given an extra large room with a baby crib, everything free of charge. The atmosphere was really welcoming and we felt ourselves like at home! We were really fascinated and would strongly recommend this hotel to all families travelling with babies/children.
Warm & friendly atmosphere. Fabulous home cooking. Barbecue Sunday with as much as you want to eat of really lovely food & the most amazing salads. Really good value for money. Family run premises, it is worth a visit.
Great atmosphere. Comfortable clean double room with firm mattress, tv. hairdryer, desk with tea/coffee making facilities, small wardrobe with spare blanket and half a dozen coat hangers. Ensuite has a corner shower, sink and toilet and adequate good quality towels. Central and bedside lights are LEDs so take a moment to warm up. Key card for access, also works on front door to enter at any time. There is also a large sitting room available on the ground floor. Breakfast is basic but very good and service by all the staff is excellent. Plenty of car parking space at the bar of the building and two spaces at the front of the hotel. Would recommend this hotel. My room was at the very top of the building and a bit of a hike but I had been given a nice double bed so was worth the exercise. Not 5 star but very clean and pleasant stay!
A really enjoyable stay in a simple but comfortable room. The staff were friendly and helpful. I slept brilliantly. The property is a decent walk into town and there are shops and other amenities nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again myself.
I miss that place already. Every time I stay there I'm delighted. Nice town, cute, clean hotel, cosy rooms and really good food. And the owners are the nicest people in the world. Love you, guys and hope to see you soon ❤️
This hotel was booked for an overnight stay for business and I was unimpressed on my arrival. It's very basic and be warned the hotel is the sort of hotel "ground workers" or contracted workers use to stay overnight in. I ordered a meal on arrival which was meant to be a burger and fries. The burger was like eating Gandhi's flip flop, the bun I could have used as a discus and the fries were just greasy and overcooked. The most insulting part of the meal is they charge £15 for this gourmet delight (check the picture out, Ronald McDonald would roll over in his grave). Rooms were clean but don't take room 1. This room is a foot away from reception, the walls and door must be made out of paper as I could hear people in reception talking, doors banging...... no sleep here. This hotel scores 💩💩 out of 5.
