This is a nice hotel, old English style. It is situated five kilometers from the beach at Bergen aan Zee, which has nice facilities for eating and drinking on the beach. It is not so touristic as for example Egmond aan Zee; it is quiet and a good place for a calm holiday. The hotel has good food, only the rooms are a bit outdated, its needs renovation. The management is aware of that and promised improvement. Bergen is one of the best places to stay along the coast of The Netherlands.

Seeing 4 stars, we expected more than the basic... Could only check in mid afternoon, and it was pouring down. Then room was OK, but no possibility of making a cup of tea. The walls are paper thin and our neighbours did not seem to realise...one side late at night, the other side very early in the morning. The bed was good, the pillow lumpy. Well, perhaps the breakfast will be 4 stars? ... We've had better breakfasts at 2 star venues. Then, the receptionist gave us wrong information, assuming, not checking. It was just that finishing touch... Not saying it was bad, for a 2 star hotel.

This hotel located in Bergen - Noord Holland. Bergen is a very nice area in my opinion, easy access with bus from Alkmaar bus station. I've spent some days there and have been visited the beach, the lake (Gestmerambacht) and city centre (in walking distance). If you want to do cycling, you can rent the bikes from the hotel (last time it was €10/day). Room was ok, not too big but not small either. It's clean and well maintained. No air conditioning in the room, sometimes it felt too warm inside. Shower room was small but it's ok and comfortable enough. The hotel has variety choices of breakfast, breads, cheese, fruits, yoghurt, cereals, juices, coffee, tea, egg, etc... You can find plenty of restaurants as well in the city centre and some of them has great food! Would love to try another Fletcher Hotel in my next trip to The Netherlands.

Last weekend in may it is very popular to spend some time in Holland, so we all leave Germany and this time we were very lucky because found this nice hotel in the very cozy city of Bergen close to the Northern sea and we had also great weather. One thing you can't buy for money. The suite (junior) was nice and plenty of room, a nice veranda, clean and comfortable bed. I missed a fridge for the drinks,- but the restaurant is in the hotel, so you can get a cold beer at any time of the day.

Nice bar and restaurant area. A bit dark in the morning for breakfast. Rooms a bit basic. Excellent breakfast. Clintele sort of old people. Seems older couples come here n the winter weeks because of lower rates.

Nice hotel for a short break or holliday, verry nice groundfloor room with a private terrace and a lot of sun, nice outdoor furnutures. Beach style hotel room, light with a tuoch of bleu, loveley so close to the beach (onley short drive) but at that time not everything was possible at the beach, we don't know abbout watersport possibilities in summertime.... A lot of free parking spaces. 5 * breakfest, and verry nice inside.. Staff verry friendly, hygenie 100 %. Walking distance to the center of beautifull Bergen with a lot of smal exclusive shops. Short walking distance to an Indonesian restaurant.......we enjoyed our stay !

Bergen is a very nice place in Bergen North Holland. Near the Sea. We stayed in this hotel for one night. Reception is very helpful and efficient. Room not too big but comforatble enough. Smaal bath room with only shower but clean. Sometimes it can be a little noisy. Breakfast is superb with enough to choose.Everythings looks very nice in this hotel.

Great location being close to the town but hotel rooms very basic (318). My colleague had to change room due to a problem with the loo and 'evidence' of previous occupant still in situ. Prob good to use a base to explore the area but spending minimum time at hotel.

Spent 3 nights. Room smelt a little musty but was clean. Carpet was threadbare and needs a bit of TLC Very convenient locations. Short walk to some great little restaurants. Good breakfast. All in all very acceptable for a convenient place to get your head down.

Small double room, also bathroom. With 2 of us are not able to put 2 small handbagage suitcases properly in the room. Also the bathroom. Bed mattress of the bed!! Price of the room much too high for the quality of the room. Not worth for the value
