Cottage on the Bluff - NEW Stairs to the Beach, Hot Tub & Unbeatable Sunsets!

Welcome to the Cottage on the Bluff!

Exciting update: the property now features newly installed stairs providing easy access to the beach, making your lakeside experience even more enjoyable. With its blend of comfort and natural beauty, this home is the perfect spot for your next adventure!

Nestled along the scenic shores of Lake Michigan, this charming 1970s chalet-style home offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views—perfect for a relaxing escape. Whether you’re gathering with family and friends or sneaking away for a quiet getaway, the Cottage on the Bluff is truly magical year-round.

Lounge on the wrap-around porch, gather around the fire table, disconnect from the hustle and bustle, and soak in breathtaking sunsets over the lake. Due to the remote location, cell service and Wi-Fi can be limited and unreliable, offering the perfect opportunity to slow down, unplug, and fully enjoy the beauty and tranquility of your surroundings.

Custom-built with cedar finishes inside and out, the Cottage features cathedral ceilings, cherry kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, and hardwood floors throughout, making it both cozy and inviting. The spacious, open layout is perfect for family gatherings, holiday meals, or quiet relaxation.

The cottage is just a 10-minute drive from both the north and south beaches and downtown, where you’ll find unique boutiques, charming restaurants, and a classic town theater. In winter, experience the quiet beauty of the area, or visit nearby attractions for a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.

Sleeping Arrangements:

The cottage sleeps 6 guests comfortably:

• Master Loft Suite: A king-size bed, private bathroom with a stand- up shower, and a cozy sitting area with a futon. The loft overlooks the living area and offers a serene view of the lake.
• 2nd Bedroom: A queen-size bed on the main floor.
• Living Room: Features a sleeper sofa for extra guests.

Enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine on the expansive porch while taking in breathtaking lake views and unbeatable sunsets. In the colder months, unwind in the hot tub or gather around the fire table for a cozy evening.

Winter and Holiday Specialties:

The Cottage on the Bluff is the perfect escape for a winter retreat or holiday celebration. Whether you’re cozying up by the fire, enjoying the peaceful winter landscape, or hosting a holiday gathering, this home offers a warm, inviting atmosphere to create lasting memories with your loved ones.

Internet Access: Due to the cottage's remote location, cable and fiber internet service are not available. Internet is provided through a cellular-based connection. While it works well much of the time, service can become slow, intermittent, or unavailable during peak tourist periods when the local cell towers are congested. If you require reliable internet for remote work, video calls, streaming, or other high-bandwidth activities, this property may not be the best fit. We recommend downloading anything you'll need before arriving or bringing a personal hotspot as a backup.

We look forward to welcoming you and helping you create lifelong memories!
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find a Smart TV with a DVD player. The vacation home also includes a coffee maker.

This property is a cute, clean house on a remarkable location. My family and I enjoyed the lake views and easy beach access. The views of the lake can’t be beat and the private beach access was wonderful. The kids also enjoyed the clean, hot tub in the evening while we sat and stared at the water. Thank you for a great getaway! Looking forward to our next visit!

This was hands down one of our favorite family vacations! The home was beautiful, exceptionally clean, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view is absolutely breathtaking, the pictures don’t do it justice! We spent countless hours outside enjoying the porch, private beach, hot tub, and watching the incredible sunsets. It was the perfect place to unwind and make memories as a family. We truly didn’t want to leave and would recommend this property to anyone looking for an unforgettable Lake Michigan getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

This is a lovely place to get away from the big city. It's right by the escarpment going down to the lake - it's about 120 steps down the new staircase to get to the beach. The house itself is comfortable, and we found it spotlessly clean. Everything about the stay was perfect.

This place is amazing and the views and sunset spectacular! Unplug is true with no service or WiFi. The stairs to the beach, the patio, and cottage itself constructed very well! So cozy and truly amazing. We recommend bringing or renting beach equipment as it was not included. Would absolutely return here to unplug, stare at the gorgeous water and boats. Location convenient to South Haven and Saugatuck.
