We love Casa Cottage. It is an oasis in Bangalore and offers a cosy environment for a low price. If you want character and a Bangalore homely feeling, it's for you. If you want run-of-the-mill modern, go somewhere else. Thanks to all the staff for another great stay!
Hotel is quietly located in small street close to the city centre of Bangalore. The atmosphere of the hotel with its small garden is quite nice. However, the service at check-in was very slow and the breakfast took a long time to get prepared and was not ready at the announced time. The hotel should afford more staff and should also afford new towels and bed sheets.
My husband and I recently stayed at Casa Cottage for 6 months. The entire time we were welcomed and looked after like family. The entire staff bent over backwards to insure our stay was a very pleasurable one. They never hesitated to assist us with what ever we needed. Casa Cottage is located in the center of Bangalore, but you would never know it, the grounds are lush with plants and trees, there is a courtyard to relax in, it is easily accessible to all parts of Bangalore and it is set on a quiet street, which is always a plus. We are looking forward to our return at the end of the year, that in itself says a lot about how much we love staying at Casa Cottage!
My teenage daughter and I stayed just one night here after nearly 5 weeks in India. We were attracted to the social programs sponsored by the owners, not to mention the promise of a quiet in Bangalore. The place has a cosy feel with a small garden and open kitchen/ dining area. The host was friendly and helpful in terms of suggesting where we could eat and provided a small map. The room was fine, including a hot water shower. Unfortunately wifi was not available in rooms and most guests hover around the small garden/ office to receive wifi. Not too big an issue for us. While we appreciated the hotel arranging an airport transfer he did not show up, which created a bit of tension whilst another was organised. Thankfully we had sufficient time in the early am. All in all, I would recommend this hotel if you like the quiet and more of a local feel.
Charming, personable, small hotel in the heart of Bangalore. For a first-time visitor to India, it's intimidating to arrive in a big city. The staff at this family-owned and operated hotel immediately made me feel at home. The building and grounds provide an oasis from the hustle and bustle, the rooms are simple but comfortable, the breakfast hearty and tasty, all within close proximity to sights, restaurants, shops, etc. The staff have endless recommendations for guides and things to do. They patiently answer all questions and take great care of their guests. Highly recommend!
The owners of this place have nailed it. Everything any traveller might want, independently switched bedside lamps, working fridge, a.c. & WiFi, outside sitting area, knowledgeable front desk, beer at a reasonable 130 rupees, standard breakfast and to top it all real coffee available 24/7 no Bru here! It is not 5* you don't pay 5* don't expect Irish bed linen but it's clean. Take the tuktuk tour 150 rupees an hour very worthwhile. Bengaluru is great for a city break during any tour of south India & Casa is a great place to stay.
I came down from Nepal, travelling across India and during my trip here ,Casa cottage was the best hotel I stayed at during my 6 week travel. The place was very quiet and had all the elements I needed to charge my batteries. I was due to stay here only two days but extended it as it felt very homely and the staff would always be available to help. Certainly a 5/5 rating and I can recommend this place for both business travellers and tourists in Bangalore. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
I loved this quaint, rustic haven located unexpectedly in the busy center of town. It is an aesthetically restored old-school Bangalore cottage which allows you to be right in the middle of the city and yet provides you a charming get-away from the bustle. The staff members are helpful, warm and friendly, each room is unique, well-equipped and beautiful and it was lovely to stay here. I also recommended it to a friend who stayed here with her family and they all loved it too!
This is is little hyped up. The room is alright but the bath room has quite a few issues that needs to be dealt with. An upgrade to bed linens and bath towels could bolster its ratings. Breakfast needs a lot of improvement and this has been suggested, as most of the occupants are foreigners. Their cleanliness is something to be worked on. On the positive side the building is over a century old and it has its charms. All in all it is good for a day's stay and is pricey for the value rendered.
We stayed here for 3 nights. There is a little bit of garden which felt like a nice peaceful haven. The hotel is slightly better than a hostel for backpackers but much more expensive. Breakfast was very basic and uninspiring with terrible tea. Some staff are unfriendly and uncommunicative though the son of the owner was helpful and friendly. The room and the ensuite bathroom were clean but pretty basic and uncomfortable. This does not represent value for money. Not recommended.
