Inside, you’ll find two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a comfy lounge room, bathroom with both bath and shower, and a laundry to make longer stays easy. The real highlight though is the backyard - think lush gardens, big lawns and plenty of spots to sit back, relax, and soak it all in.



The Space:

Located on Mafeking Street in Kennington, this beautifully presented Californian Bungalow blends timeless character with modern comfort. From its charming street presence to the thoughtfully styled interiors and expansive outdoor space, this home is designed for a relaxing and memorable stay.



Inside, you’ll enjoy year-round comfort with central heating, a cosy gas log fireplace, and a split system air-conditioner in the living area.



The home features two well-appointed bedrooms:

- A spacious master with a queen bed

- A second bedroom with a comfortable double bed

Both rooms include ceiling fans, ample storage, and quality bedding to ensure a restful night’s sleep.



The kitchen retains the home’s character while offering everything you need for your stay, including an oven, stove, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, and kettle. A selection of coffee pods, tea, milk, and sugar is provided to get you started. The adjoining dining area comfortably accommodates all guests, making it perfect for shared meals.



The light-filled living room is a welcoming space to unwind - ideal for movie nights, board games, or simply relaxing with a book. Positioned separately from the bedrooms, it offers a quiet retreat away from the rest of the home.



The central bathroom includes a shower, bath, and toilet - perfect for families or longer stays. An additional outdoor toilet adds extra convenience.



Step outside to one of the home’s standout features: a beautifully landscaped, oversized backyard. With multiple seating areas and lush greenery, it’s the perfect setting to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the afternoon. Additional features include a full laundry with washing machine for guest use.

PortaCot Available:

We have a PortaCot available for guests to use, that is stored offsite. If you would like to use it, there is a $50 fee.

Please note:



- Guests must request the PortaCot at least 48 hours before their arrrival.

- Linen is not provided for the PortaCot; guests will need to bring their own. All other linen is supplied for the property.

- If the PortaCot has been reserved by another guest, it may be unavailable for your stay

The Neighborhood:

Kennington is a family-friendly suburb located in the historic city of Bendigo. This home is conveniently located close to many of Bendigo's main attractions. It is less than a 10 minute drive from Bendigo's CBD (Rosalind Park, Bendigo Art Gallery) and less than a 3 minute drive from La Trobe University. Kennington house is also nearby Kennington Reservoir and many shops/cafes.



Getting Around:

You can park your car in the driveway or on the street. The best way to get around Bendigo is by car, however, there are bus options and a central tram.
