Good quality accommodation close central to city.

I enjoyed my stay at the Haymarket Inn as it was convenient to Bendigo centre city amenities (restaurants, bakeries) and venues for a writers' festival. The Haymarket Inn was very clean and comfortable with charming decor and good lighting options. The plumbing and bedding system is of a high standard. My only concern is for disability guests who may prefer a hotel with cladding or linoleum boundaries against the rooms' old-fashioned, sturdy internal brick walls which may be knockable. However I was not in a disability category at the time of my stay. Thank you to the proprietors for the pleasant stay I enjoyed at Haymarket Inn.

Cheap, budget motel, ideally located for town. The room was dated and facilities overdue an update. Mould in the bathroom and stained carpet. OK for one night as nothing else available. Unlikely to stay again. Staff were helpful during check in.

The tape used to hold the batteries into the remote control, wasn't working - buy a new one! Mold in the shower, needs removing & the exhaust fan needs cleaning or even replacing. No one at reception when we checked out at 9am to report this.

We felt the property was fine for our needs. It was close to town and easy to find. The room was quite dark - we sat inside with the door open to let in more light. TV reception was pretty much non-existent as it kept pixellating and the sound kept cutting out. Staff were friendly.

Property is convenient to the main CBD. Leisurely walk into town. Shower had good pressure and the bed was comfortable. Upon first inspection the rooms are well appointed. Closer inspection reveals more. Removal of older equipment has been covered up not fixed up. Shower could do with a could scrub (mould) and the shampoo/conditioner container was growing something else in there - YUK!!

Average place

Run of the mill hotel. Nothing special. Bed and shower clean. Waited in reception for 10 mins waiting to check in. Pressed bell numerous times. Went back outside eventually to see a note on the window saying to ring a mobile number. Turned out the key was under the doormat at our room so we didnt actually have any contact. No hairdryer, just dirty plastic cover where it used to be. Wouldn’t return

Unit was clean and proximity to centre of city was good. Unfortunately the person in the adjacent unit was experiencing some severe, and loud, mental health issues. Feeling unsafe, I booked elsewhere and left. I have not received a refund, despite my request.

Unfortunately this property was not quite what we envisioned. Whilst it was an affordable space with close and easy access to the main drag the room itself was quite disappointing. Our room oddly smelt of stale cigarettes, the room itself clearly needed some work including a fire alarm and some modifications including carpeting and new linen. Considering the large amount of affordable accommodation in the area this was quite disappointing. If you are just seeking a room and a bed it’s fine.

Wasn't particularly clean had to move the bed as dropped an earring, nearly spewed. Even though 4 people booked not enough coffee cups and shower was a lot to be desired.
