My husband and I booked the vacation rental for two nights so that we could take a day trip to Crater Lake (a little over two hours south).
First of all the complex was having the exterior painted, and Bend Riverside Reality was very up front with the process. They were painting near our patio, but we were not really inconvenience. We saw the workers and equipment said “hi” and still enjoyed the view of the Deschutes River.
Upon entering the unit we noticed that it had been considerably updated. Looked very nice, but unfortunately my husband and I both noticed it smelled old and musty.
The nicely equipped kitchen area was a very welcomed update to unit!
The queen sized Murthy bed was however the most unpleasant for sleeping. The queen size wasn’t so much the issue as my husband and I had slept on a queen sized bed for most of our 45 years together. But the real issue we had was that it was without a doubt the hardest bed we have ever slept on. We joked the floor would be more comfortable.
A couple of minor things we noticed…the area between the Murphy bed and the wall was not clean. My husband said to be careful and not drop a pillow as it would get dirty. And the last thing, the screen door to the patio had a sizable hole by the handle. We would have just had just the screen, glass door pushed back, in evening/early mornings but afraid insects, especially mosquitoes could enter the unit.
We loved the location and size of the unit, but that Murphy bed was just too uncomfortable to want to stay again.
