This is a large hotel, which was probably a 5*, but would probably be a 3* now by US standards. It now caters to a primarily Spanish, British and German clientele through vacation packages from two European airlines. This room was showing a bit of wear with chipping on furniture, and discoloration on the door to the refrigeration. Beadspreads were pretty, but also showing wear, as were chair covers. Shower in bathtub was not great (drooly), and the tub had very high sides, so would be difficult if you have any mobility issues. Rooms are large, floors, counter tops, and bathroom walls are marble and granite. A large patio/balcony is attached with a drying rack for things you wash out to wear later. A refrigerator is provided in the room. Meals can be purchased at the time of booking, which I did, and were a quite reasonable addition, providing brekki and dinner. Dinner was on a schedule, as on a cruise ship, with early (6:30) or late (8:30) sittings. Food was in buffet style, and quite good. Getting to the hotel from Malaga's port was over 35 Euro. Be sure to ask the desk clerk if you can buy their taxi fare to the airport in Malaga (AGP), as they offer a discounted rate of 25 Euro. Taxi stand is across the street and very speedy. Bus service is close to the hotel. Rail service is a bit farther, and uphill. Lovely stroll along the beach goes on for miles with a paved boardwalk and touristy ships, restaurants and coffee shops along the way. Overall, the hotel was a great value, but be sure to consider transit in the total cost, as it is pricey.

Could not have asked for more. Anything we wanted was catered to. Breakfast early due to an excursion start time no problem. Dinner late for same reason no problem. I would highly recommend this hotel.
