This hotel did not meet the standards of AmericInns that we have stayed at in the past. The sheets were either badly stained or not clean. The manager told us that the sheets were stained from rust and that they wouldn't give him a water softener. However, the stains did not look like rust stains to me. I asked for clean sheets and was given them by the manager. The shower walls, shower curtain, tub, toilet and floor of the bathroom had not been cleaned for some time. The carpet needed a good vacuuming. The internet did not work properly in our room or on the computer in the lobby. The manager had lots of excuses for all of these things. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was quiet, but the pillows were flat or lumpy. Breakfast was your usual hotel breakfast, nothing out of the ordinary. When we checked out, the manager apologized for any inconvenience. I would not stay here again and am not sure that I will stay at an AmericInn hotel again if conditions like this are allowed to happen.

linens (sheets and towels) were clean but dingy, one of the rooms had men's underwear draped over the closet rod, another room had a Milkdud on the floor, air conditioner air intake was very dusty (health hazard), stains on carpet. the bathroom soaps and shampoo were from different companies. Not up to AmericInn standards. the breakfast was ok. Didn't use pool . Management was very friendly .

The hotel was clean and reasonably priced. The breakfast was the usual fare, but it was plentiful. The jelly was a little old,it was more like fruit roll-ups. The staff was courteous. The water didn't get very warm in the shower.

I have stayed at the Blackduck Americinn many times and have never been disappointed. Raj and his wife are always friendly and greet me with a smile. I will definitely stay there again. Thank you Raj.

This was our first time at this AmericInn. It's located in a perfect location right off of Hwy 71 and walking distance to everything in town. The hotel was comfortable, clean and breakfast was a good variety of items. Our only complaint is that the pool was out of service when we were there so our kids were disappointed. Otherwise I'd recommend this hotel 100%.

We had a nice stay in Black Duck at the AmericInn. W had dinner at a down-home restaurant a walk from the hotel. The hotel was friendly and clean. There were also some unusual Pokeman things nearby and a cool duck statue.

We have stayed in this AmericInn multiple times (we have family in the area) over the years. Although the property is showing its age, the staff more than makes up for it. Mr. and Mrs. Patel made sure that our stay was a good one. When the dryer in the room didn't work, they loaned us one for the duration of our stay. The hot breakfast was great, and the hotel was always clean.

Stayed over one night on our way to a three day fishing adventure with Bearpaw Guides on Upper Red Lake. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff even asked how early we needed to have breakfast to make sure we would get to our fishing guide on time. Good breakfast and friendly folks. We'd stay here again for sure.

I have stayed at several Americinn throughout MN and at this particular location three times in the last year. This last time I had to wake up the night auditor for another set of keys, discovered the pool was still closed, and the guest printer was still out of ink. The lack of customer service along with uncomfortable bed and aged bed carpet during my last visit ensured it would be my last stay. To top it off, expired yogurt and stale bread was some of the options for breakfast. At least there is a decent restaurant across the parking lot.

We booked a 1 night stay at this AmericInn. We were very disappointed when we arrived. The pool and hot tub had been closed for over a month, there was nothing posted on the website about this. This was a HUGE deal for us, as this was one of the main reasons we wanted to stay here. The room we had was in a state of disrepair. The towel rack in the bathroom was coming off of the wall, there was no microwave as advertised. The owner offered to cancel our reservation at no charge, but no other discounts. Then when it was time to check out, he wanted to make sure we were out by 1100, although there was only one other room rented out in the entire place. He even turned off our key cards before 1100. The breakfast was mediocre, all microwave prepared. We have stayed here in the past, and this was the worst we've seen it.
