Casa de carácter (18c) en el borde de la histórica Belper

Esta encantadora cabaña de piedra de 2 dormitorios fue construida alrededor de 1790 y conserva muchas características originales. La planta baja consta de 2 amplias salas de estar (4m x 4m). Junto a la cocina hay un salón con estufa de leña y el otro es un salón / comedor con TV / DVD. La cabaña está muy cerca del histórico molino de algodón / museo y los jardines del río dentro del sitio del Patrimonio Mundial Derwent Valley Mills. La premiada calle principal de Belper se encuentra a 15 minutos a pie y justo al final de la calle se encuentra el restaurante / bar Talbot (17c) y el restaurante tailandés Tum Yum (sótano de North Mill, principios del s. XIX), justo sobre el puente y el vertedero del molino. Las caminatas desde el río conducen al Chevin con vista a Belper en una dirección y los jardines del río y la reserva natural en la otra.
Derbyshire Dales y Peak District están a poca distancia en coche; las atracciones locales son Cromford (museo de Arkwright's Mill, paseos por los canales, etc.), Arkwright's Masson Mill (compras con descuento), Matlock Bath (teleférico, jardines, etc.), Middleton Top (High Peak Trail) y una multitud de hermosos pueblos y camina.
La ciudad de Derby con su catedral, el molino de seda, la casa redonda de ferrocarriles y las zonas comerciales, tanto antiguas como modernas, se encuentra a 14 km al sur. Si le gusta un poco más de acción, Alton Towers está a solo 20 millas (35 minutos en auto).

Lovely stay

Great cottage, in a lovely town, with great walks. The cottage itself came fully stocked with everything you could need, including shampoo and shower wash, kitchen was also stocked up with tea and coffee, and fresh milk in the fridge, and all the appliances you could need. We were pleasantly surprised.

A lovely place to stay, I would definitely come here again. Such a cosy place, more spacious than I was expecting as well! Had everything you'd need in my eyes, definitely appreciated the milk in the fridge for us. The streaming services are also a nice touch, overall we really enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Quaint cottage in great location.

It is the second time we have stayed at Roy and Anne’s cottage and we loved it as much as we did the first time! We checked in after a fun packed day at Alton Towers and stayed a couple of nights. Belper is a lovely town with plenty of pubs, supermarkets and cafes. It is a cross between Haworth and Otley. The cottage is always clean and warm. The hosts are always attentive and easy to communicate with. Tea, coffee and milk are provided on arrival and the facilities are plentiful- lots of tv channels, Netflix, games, books and more. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Alton Towers! Highly recommended.

Just a short walk down the hill takes you to Belper. Mill, river Derwent, antiques centre, independent shops, fab restaurants and pubs. House has all you could need. View on the loo is the best. Would be happy to stay again

Comfortable cottage

Everything we needed in the cottage and close to all the amenities of Belper. Especially enjoyed our meal at the Thai restaurant, Tom Yum, just a short stroll away in the mill.

Beautiful cottage in lovely Belper.

Quaint cottage on the edge of Belper, near to Strutt's Mill. Very spacious comfortable rooms with everything we needed. Even though it's on a main road it was very quiet at night and during the day we were out anyway. We enjoyed sitting out of an evening in the little paved well stocked side garden. Parking wasn't a problem and I found the best place to leave my car was just opposite on the entrance to Lodge Drive. The location is ideal for Crich Tramway Museum, the excellent new car museum at Ambergate and for Cromford, Matlock, Matlock Bath and Chatsworth. Loved it all. One of my favourite areas to stay. Thanks very much.
