It has been a while since I visited Belo and the Belvedere. This location is close to our office but apart from that there is really little reason to go there. The food is average and accommodation reasonable. Big negatives are the lack of English staff, TV stations etc.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Caesar Business again for a quick business trip to Belo. I had previously spent a significant time at the hotel on prior business trips, so it was good to come back to the old faithful hotel. General: - The hotel staff are great and very friendly, and the hotel in general is really nice. The room is large and has pretty much all that you could want or need. The only challenge for those that don't speak Portuguese fluently, is the lack of English channels on the TV, but this isn't too serious - as if you are working, you probably don't have much time for TV other than staying up to date with some news (BBC/CNN) anyway. Breakfast: - The breakfast has a good selection, and always fresh - so really enjoyed a good breakfast every morning. Location: - As before, the location is ideal. It is right opposite the BH Shopping Centre, so very convenient for some shopping, or lunch/supper as required. I really enjoyed my stay, same as the last few visits, and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the area.
I used to stay in this hotel when the place used to be only CAESAR, now it´s a ARCOR hotel. It´s differente a lost all the top top way, but is still a very good hotel. I would recommend onluy for business not family. The people at the hotel were very nice, the room clean and big. Restaurant with a very good food.
The room have some defects on bathroom - that was promptly correct, it's true - but the floor was spotted by some chemical product. They open a new restaurant in front lobby and the park lot was a mas due to te amount of cars to park at the same lime. The white wine welcome drink was not chilled, so it was not possible to be drink at my arrival (I had to carry it to my room). Waiters were careless in the hotel restaurant - they just doesn't show up to take costumer orders.
Nice stay. All services were perfect. Housekeeping team very helpful. Breakfast overpriced in comparison with other hotels (same category).I did the majority of my breakfasts on a Bakery nearby the hotel.
I like this hotel very much because of its privilege location, it's almost in the same block as the BH Mall! The price is a little high, but the rooms are good and everything is new! It's a great hotel for business or even for families!
very nice hotel, located in an upscale neighborhood across the street from a shopping mall. very nice restaurant at the hotel, staff very friendly and attentive, however most of them don't speak English. Room is big and bed comfy. the only thing I would point is the bathroom that could use an upgrade.
I have been staying at this hotel for 10 years and every time, every room the shower floor is sloped away from the drain, so you are always standing in a pool of water. Annoying to step into a cool pool of water in the morning. Each stay i report this, except this last stay, and each time the front desk agent appears surprised as if I am the first guest to report the issue. The hotel is too cheap to correct the issue with the shower floors. I put up with it because of the good hotel location.
This hotel is far from the center of the city, but I chose it because it is linked to the Accor Mercure net and because it was on my way to work and in front of the big "BH Shopping" where you can find many good shops. It was a mistake : it was not a nice choice : many small bad things which altogether become irritating: - you wait at front desk to get the key of your room (card) due to lack of staff - once you get the key (card), it does not work in the elevadors. So you have to come back to the front desk, and wait again. It happened several times during my 5 days stay. - the bathroom is quite old. - old phone in the room with very poor quality of the sound - don't rely on wake up calls: they forgot half of my requests - long queue for check out with only one staff available for that at 7h15-7h30 am. It took me around 20 mn. It was my longest check out ever - dusty odor in the room : impossible to open the windows to get a minimum of fresh air. But at least here the staff proposed to change rooms. As a whole, go in another hotel. There are many others in Belo Horizonte.
Caesar Belvedere is well located to my trip purposes eg close to "Anel viário" that leads to Contagem and close to the beat areas for eating and having fun in BH. Rooms are OK with a bath that could improve performance in its water pressure and the quality of soap, shampoo etc. the morning breakfast improved at a smaller hotel restaurant vs the past since a beautiful Asian restaurant opened recently door to door. The staff was sympathetic, but useless to explain why my points were cancelled recently. It is not an expensive hotel and I usually stay there an plan to come back
