We stayed for 3 nights and the staff were very friendly, excellent and very helpful with our special needs. The room was clean and tidy with the bedding very comfortable and with great views of the bay. The buffet breakfast was very nice and catered well for our needs.
Speedy check in with pleasant staff. Room was very spacious, particularly the bathroom. Lovely view of the bay. Extremely clean, and a well appointed and comfortable room. Check out was very quick too. Very convenient stop over.
We had a really great time at Quality Hotel Bayside Geelong! They even think of the smallest things that help to make your stay so much more easier and pleasant. They had the TV Gudie from the Sunday Herald Sun for us, and they also had printed out a full colour Gudie to Foxtel for the week as well. I've never come across this kind of service before. The Black Salt Restaurant for breakfast can't be faulted either! The beds are very comfy as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay last weekend!
We stayed at this hotel while visiting Geelong for the first time and to attend a surprise 30th Birthday party. I booked this hotel direct by phone and found the reservations person helpful although a little hard to understand. On arrival check in was quick and easy. We had booked an executive King room which was on the ground floor and easily accessible. The room was roomy, modern and very clean, air-conditioned and well presented with complimentary car parking and wifi. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet with no noise from traffic or other guests. Located on the bay with superb views from the front across the bay and to Geelong and with easy access to town, local attraction I would highly recommend this hotel as great value.
We stay here quite often because I have had surgery and this is conveniently located, with a view over the bay not far from eastern beach and the city and not too far from the hospital but far enough. The staff were really on top of their game this time which was good to see both on the afternoon shift and the morning shift. If I had to make a comparison I would say that the attendant on the arvo shift was marginally better. Andrea in the bar was very good. She's been a good find, very proficient and easy to talk to and interesting to talk to. but and there always is a but. They renovated and changed the seating and now they have these stupid bloody chairs that are awkward to sit in, very hard and uncomfortable, not conducive to having a pleasant drink and conversation. Also you cant sit back in them. It begs the question 'When is something going to be done about them. Rant over, except for now we have the stupid trip advisor questions. Hmmmmm
From check in to check out I consider my experience to have been very good. Reception was very quick, professional, friendly and courteous. The room was clean, neat and tidy, and appropriate for business stays. The resturant provided a sensible fresh and tasty dinner menu with the staff available as required but not hovering. Breakfast was well catered. Happy to return next trip.
Lovely, secure hotel on the bay. Our room was out the back so no view but that didn't faze us. Room was huge, bed was comfortable and roomy and good variety with the mini bar. Hotel has a great bar/restaurant on site called Black Salt. It's a decent walk from Simonds Stadium about 45 minutes but I was wearing boots. We got an Uber to lunch location before game approximately $10 in very heavy traffic - if walking isn't an option this is a good alternative. Would certainly stay again.
These may seem small and petty to some but staying away from home can be draining so anything that makes you feel good makes the experience better. $38.00 for a very ordinary beef stroganoff was a little over the top to start with. What is wrong with an expensive hotel providing a couple of biscuits to have with your cup of tea in the room , this hotel is one of the few hotels that have removed that homely feature. Finally in a town and state that live and breath AFL football they have the rugby channel on Foxtel . This was pure amazement to be and a massive cost cutting method which was certainly not appreciated.
Stayed here for three nights while on business in Geelong. It's a great location along the beach away from the main business district. It's approximately 5-10 minutes drive into the Geelong CBD. The room is nice, clean and quite large. Staff is friendly and approachable. Free wifi is a bit weak and it wasn't available in my room. Restaurant serves good meals and it's a good option for those on business who don't want to go out for dinner. Will choose to stay here again next time.
Good venue, at a reasonable price. Arriving at the hotel very early, from a flight from Newcastle. The receptionist was able to give us a room straight away. The room was already warm, from the A/con.Very appreciative. Quiet room at the back by the pool. If the weather was warmer, it also had a small courtyard with table & chairs. It is an ageing motel style room, and could be modernised. However, it was fine for us, very roomy & comfortable.
