We stay here for 2 nights on our Great Ocean Road trip. This place was perfect for family. The cabin is great with all the facilities needed and located in a ideally location. Across the road there is a recreational park just beside the river with a stunning view. Highly recommended for small or big family.
I recently stayed here and had problems I wrote a review online and got a reply back from the manager saying i hope we can sort this out and wish for you to stay with us in the near future. So thinking we had sorted the issue out we had given them another chance so we decided to stay again not to be told when calling that we made a complaint o they were very rude and we had been told not to we cannot stay so very diffent to what was written on our reply with an apology I was very confused yet angry and find it deceiving of them to write these food reviews back to other when its all just so the look good so i will never being my family nor I will ever belive what they have to say
What an outstanding park! We had a 2 bedroom standard cabin and it was fantastic. Cabin was fantastic for us and our 2 young girls. We went to the footy on the Friday night and walked to and from Simonds Stadium. Our 4yo and 6yo walked the entire way both times so location in perfect if staying for this reason. Easily to locate, shopping centre just up the road with Coles, Kmart, Liquorland, Butcher, Bakery and many other specialty stores. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back! Spot on Discovery Geelong.
We stayed at discovery park for 2 days the cabin was awesome and clean, very comfortable, had everything what was needed. Quite and relaxing, the park had a common room with some games, we spend an hour playing ten pin, ample BBQ areas lovely pool/ spa, the park was voids friendly. We will be going back for another stay, also very central to shops ect
We were on a driving holiday and stayed at Discovery Parks for 2 nights. Easy check in and great staff. The Cabin was great, good layout and everything that you need. Quiet location and easy walk to go to the AFL Game.
My wife and I availed ourselves to a stay via Travel Auctions and stayed in a Deluxe Spa one bedroom cabin. From the moment we arrived we were made feel very welcome by mine hosts Ray & Sandra. Heaps of personality and very professional people. We felt at home here. The cabin was spotless and everything you need supplied. The utensils/crockery cutlery, saucepans, jug and toaster etc were of good quality not like some parks that have a mix of everything not matching. We did not avail ourselves of the spa but it was huge with the shower above. Air conditioner very comfortable.Queen size bed very comfy as well. Only thing missing was a hair dryer but that didn't worry me as I am a little light on in the hair department. My comment is why would you stay in a Motel when you have a facility like this so close to Geelong CBD right near the river and shopping centres. P.S. Very quiet location. A very big TICK from us Ray and Sandra. We shall return. Regards, Ian & Wendy B . (Horsham 3400.)
We had booked a Standard Cabin, but we were upgraded to a Family Spa Cabin. The Cabin was clean with a large bathroom for a Cabin. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We were unsure how to light the gas cook top. One of the staff came and showed us that a gas lighter was in one of the drawers, although he did have to go away and put in a new battery. The Cabin was very quiet, reverse cycle air conditioning was good for heating on a cold night. The holiday park is very clean and well maintained. There is a recreation room, a small swimming pool and a small playground for young children. The area is good with a park across the road with a number of children's playgrounds and a pathway to walk along the river. We have been here before, both in a caravan and in a cabin and have always found it to be clean and well maintained.
We spent a night there on the way to Great Ocean Road. It was a nice place, so clean and tidy, green and organized, and so quiet relaxing. The cabins are amazing with all facilities, and you actually get a very good value of your money. It is also very good spot for those who want to start the great ocean road journey in the morning since you don't need to drive from Melbourne for an additional hour an half.
We stayed for 12 days in our tent and found the place, very acceptable. The camp kitchen is well maintained, although it was frustrating to use the hot plate and not being able to clean it properly, for the next person. The fridges are a welcome help, although on throwing out day, not all things are actually thrown out. There were sausages in there for more than a week. The high ceilings in all buildings are in need of a clean and some of the camp kitchen doors. They certainly aren't disgusting though. Many travellers stayed and then left, some others came for the Airshow and also were volunteers like our son. Other travellers are very friendly and shared their knowledge and stories about camping. The laundry is very good. The second time we used the dryers however, they didn't dry much of our clothes. The people at the cafe next to the Office, were not the nicest so we did not partake. The cleaners tend to pick and choose what they're doing and like to talk to each other by yelling from one cabin to another. The tv in the rec room was a welcome distraction after being on the go. It is very well situated, it is easy to find the roads into Melbourne and out of Melbourne. We went to the 12 Apostles, Ballarat and Avalon.
I was there during the week for work. The 1 bedroom cabin was perfect for my needs. There was even close parking for my small truck. The weather was hot, so the split system worked a gem keeping me cool at night. Also the well kept pool came in handy after work. Queen size bed was comfy and a good sized bathroom. Overall the cabin was spacious with a full sized fridge and because of the price I was satisfied. The park it self was well set out. Shady tree's, green lawn and had a large games room.
