I stayed at the Sunbreeze during a 4 day snorkeling adventure and it was exactly what I needed- no frills, low key with easy beach access and suite amenities like filtered water and community hammocks. Check in was super easy and I found all the staff there incredibly helpful and timely. The food at the restaurant is some of the best I have ever tasted and I ABSOLUTELY loved my snorkeling trip I booked through the hotel. It's definitely a MUST SEE! Other than that, I appreciated that it was a 2 minute walk from the airport and just with the wifi was better, and the A/C unit not so loud. Other than that I HIGHLY recommend this place for families, solo travelers or couples looking for a low key getaway that won't disappoint.
Everything is good. They have complementary drinkable water in the room, so no worries to buy bottled water specially in a isolated island. Room is very clean and comfortable. Very pleasant stay at SunBreeze Hotel!
This was by far one of the nicest hotels in San Pedro. Beautiful location and hotel with a well kept pool and delicious on site restaurant Blue Water. The front desk was so helpful in helping us plan our tours and suggestions for food. Loved the whole trip and hope to go again! Rent bikes to explore the island and you have to visit Caye Caulker island!
Location was perfect. In town, but quiet, with beautiful swiping pool, outdoor bar/restaurant,aim restaurant all located on the beautiful Carribbean. Main restaurant a little pricey . Overall, terrific place to stay,
The Sunbreeze was an excellent place to stay. It is very clean and the staff was very helpful.
I loved this hotel! It was beautiful! Centrally located. You have town, the beach, dining within minutes.Everyone was very helpfull, ready to get you anything you needed. Everywhere you looked was a great little space to relax and unwind. The dining on site was wonderfull! I would definately return for another great stay!
This hotel was literally across the street from the airport for Tropic Air. It was also a 3 minute walk from the company we chartered our sailboat from, and they portered all our gear to the boat for us. ON the beach, great view, nice pool and restaurant.
We have stayed there multiple times in the past. The access to town is great. The staff is always friendly. The rooms are clean. Will continue to go back for vacation.
I stayed at Sunbreeze with my husband, sister and brother in law, and we had a wonderful time! The rooms were clean and large enough, but needed better lighting. We loved the very friendly and accommodating staff, especially Lupita and Julia. We also loved the Blue Water Grill! Most of the bartenders were great and very attentive. We tried lots of cerveche and Blue Water has the best by far. The native Islanders were friendly as well. We are in the process of looking to buy property; if that doesn't tell you how great this island is, nothing will :)
The location of the Sunbreeze was nice cause it was kind of centerally located on San Pedro and a great walking distance from a lot of resteraunts and little shops. Me and my friend weren't impressed with the Front desk girl, the first day we got there she was kind of short and a little snotty and that wasnt the best first impression on that place. The room was nice and it was really great to have the air conditioning especially since it was so hot out, but the beds smelled disgusting like they hadn't changed the sheets in who knows how long. the pillows smelled like sweat and so did the sheets and bed, it was gross. I did like the resturaunt they had there, they had really good food and the staff there was friendly. the pool area was also nice cause it looked over the ocean. It was an ok place to stay but if we ever stayed on San Pedro again we probably wouldnt stay there again.
Great location, right on the beach and near the heart of town. Staff is super attentive and friendly!
Rooms were very clean, staff was great, restaurant was excellent. The beach side view from the pool & restaurants was great. The location is a blessing & a curse. Right across the very busy street from Tropic Air, this hotel is a pretty quiet oasis. The noise from the planes was no more intrusive than the motorboats on the other side! I had to stay an extra day because of a flight cancellation. The economy room I moved to, while very comfortable & clean, was difficult to sleep in due to very light curtains & bright outdoor hall lights . Rooms 208-215?
This was low season the hotel was very empty, so hotel personnel had a lot of time to spend on the guests or guests requests. It was difficult to organize day tours because of the low occupancy rate. Centrally located the walk along the beach to San Pedro allows you to really see the sites of the town. This location is great for a single female traveller. Water sports can be arranged at the hotel, as well as flights to other Islands. The rooms are very comfortable I will stay here on future trips.
Spent a great week at the SunBreeze, last week. Israel and Patrick at the dive shop were excellent with me given how inexperienced I am. Waiters at the Blue Water Grill were very friendly. The entire staff was as friendly as anyone would want them to be. Best location you could find on the island. Sure plan to stay there again. May go back in a couple of months.
Stayed here on a family trip. Reserved a deluxe partial ocean view room. Room was nice and clean, although bathroom was a bit stinky. Location was great. Just at the south end of the main part of town, across the street from the airport. So close to walk to everything in town but not as noisy as some other places. When it was time to go, we checked out, walked about 10 feet to the airport and checked in for our flight. Staff was very nice. In the evenings they sometimes spray some kind of mosquito spray. Glad that they're trying to battle the bugs, but would be nice if they let us know in advance because apparently it's toxic and not good for kids. Hotel staff noticed us outside of our room while they were spraying and suggested that we move away from the spray. Glad that they warned us, but letting us know the bug spray schedule in advance would have been better.
Just got back from going to San Pedro with my closest friend to celebrate our birthdays. I didn't know what to expect when I got there, cause as you know, pictures can be deceiving. We were both extremely pleased with our stay. The location is perfect! Close to all the restaurant and bars in downtown San Pedro. There's a great restaurant at the hotel. The room was exactly what I expected. It's not a four star hotel, but extremely comfortable nonetheless. They provide free internet in the rooms. The beds were VERY comfortable, and the shower was extremely spacious (which is great if you have dive gear) with plenty of hot water. But the best was the hotel staff. They are extremely attentive, and over the top friendly. The courtyard is very cute, and the pool area comfortable. Yes, there is no real beach area, but knowing that upfront, I didn't miss that at all. I definitely recommend staying there. If I ever go back, I definitely will!
i was very pleased with hotel and staff. the food was very good and i will book there again.
This hotel is perfectly located right in the central part of San Pedro without being close to the loud club area. The beach is foot steps away and there is a dive shop on premise and a few tour companies within a 5 minute beach walk. Additionally, the entrance to the San Pedro airport is across the street which could not have been any easier.
Sunbreeze is too pricey. The laundry service, local phone use, and bicycle rentals they offer are extremely overpriced, especially compared to similar services within close walking distance. The water in the shower was occasionally warm but not always warm enough. The floors in our room were not very clean, even after they had been swept, so I rarely wanted to walk barefoot inside. On the other hand, the staff is all very friendly and helpful- with the exception of the front dest staff, who were not quite as helpful as I would hope ( though this seemed to be a product of the hotel policies/ management rather than the staff themselves). The rooms are spacious, with ample places to store your things, and the location is lovely. The pool, hammocks, and restaurant are enjoyable, and the hotel is right by the airport and downtown San Pedro, and a short walk down the beach to the water taxi services, which is convenient. But I have never been charged so much to make a local phone call, and the front desk won't even make a local call to get info for you without charging you for it, even if you're in a pinch.
Spent 6 days at the Sunbreeze, end of Feb. 2012, the most convenient Hotel in San Pedro, situated directly across the street from the Airport and only 5 minute walk to town. Great location negates the need to rely on any form of transportation. Deluxe Room was adequate but nothing special; great A/C; good shower; twin beds hindered romance and pillows were lumpy. Although service and setting was great, found their Blue Water Grill to be a little pricey. This was our 4th visit to San Pedro, 1st stay at the Sunbreeze.. would stay again.
