We had a wonderful weeks stay at the Caddy's lodge at the end of August.
We had a wonderful weeks stay at the Caddy's lodge at the end of August. It is ideally situated to visit the Northumberland Coast; only a short drive from Bamburgh, Seahouses, Holy Island and Alnwick. It is a new build property with excellent facilities ideal for a family vacation. The layout is well thought out with a fantastic kitchen diner and great view. Everything we needed was readily to hand and the host was extremely welcoming. Situated on the edge of Belford, it is also handy for local amenities. Would highly recommend. We are looking forward to another visit.

This is a modern and spacious house that is beautifully designed and decorated.
This is a modern and spacious house that is beautifully designed and decorated. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Needs a coffee maker and garlic press etc to enable eating well in the house. The en-suite to downstairs rooms is a shared one but it works well being lockable from either side. Beds are comfy. It is easy to clean and has both dishwasher and washing machine. Utility room works well. Even has dog bowls! It’s a car journey to the beaches and good restaurants but local pubs and eateries can provide the usual burgers and pizzas etc. All in all excellent. Needs a written guide for inside instructions for heating etc and for internet password and instructions for recycling.

The Caddy's Lodge is a beautiful brand new house.
The Caddy's Lodge is a beautiful brand new house. Situated close to the spectacular Bamburgh Castle and gorgeous Northumberland beaches. The village icentre is within a few minutes walk and the Co-op is pretty well stocked. The furniture in the house is basic but very comfortable. There is only one rug on the living room floor and I found it uncomfortably cold on my feet getting out of bed in the middle of night. There is a guest information folder but the lack of instructions for the cooker and washing machine were a bit frustrating. We were 4 adults and 3 children and whilst there were plenty of plates and glasses etc. there were only 2 saucepans and a wok which were inadequate. All in all we had a great week.
