Absolutely brilliant experience! Very glad we chose to stay here over Mabula lodge as it was a unique and personalised experience. The staff were attentive and always on hand to help going the extra mile. The accommodation was perfect and dining under the stars was a real highlight.

This experience was all I had hoped for and more than I expected! I wanted to feel like we were part of our surroundings while having the luxury of a comfy bed and a full bathroom. The safaris every evening and every morning were exciting and rewarding with all of the big 5 either on the hunt, after the kill, or so close that their presence was surreal! The bonuses of our stay were the wonderful staff and the impressive meals. Dinners beside an open fire for just the two of us, extraordinary full course creations from the chef, and an intimate, outdoor setting with the wildlife often viewed from the table or from our shower. Our tent was impeccable upon our return from safari each morning and evening and all was comfortable and quiet for afternoon naps. Our stay was for 3 full days and nights and I highly recommend at least this length of stay in order to see all of the big 5. Our last safari was the best of all as we tracked a couple of cheetahs on their hunt and felt so blessed for the entire experience! This place is a must-do and I hope to return in the future.

Great lodge and secluded feel

We love the Mabula game reserve and have stayed in other lodges here before. We wanted to try a tented experience and were not disappointed. It was so lovely for us as a couple, to especially dinner under the stars with only 5 tents around you and a small area for dinner and drinks. You really do feel like you are in the middle of the bush. Liam our driver was fantastic on both drives, we saw the reserves Elephant herd and Lions all in the space of a day. He was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. We would definitely recommend and return here in the future.

Peace and quiet and close to Joburg airport.

This camp has only 5 tents so it is the perfect place for peace and quiet. The food is very good and the tents large and well spaced out. The small pool was out of action when we were there but was being repaired. Staff are welcoming but not intrusive. We flew home from here so being only 2.5 hours from Joburg airport was perfect. Malaria free also. Good value for money.
