We discovered this bar for first time this visit and went there every day. Great staff, pleasant and good fun. They make a mean margarita as well! The view is fantastic too!! We will go back, not sure about food but portions looked huge
Clean classic hotel with good value for money. The pool and the rooftop bar/breakfast overlooking the corniche is the cherry on top. The matras was a little too soft, but we had it in all hotels in Lebanon.
Spent a night in the hotel after a delicious dinner at the summer Edition Parilla restaurant on the roof of the hotel near the pool. Staff was friendly specially the concierge who speaks French very well and knows how to welcome the guest of the hotel. Room needs some renovation a bit old but for the price, it is fair. Bathroom are clean. And had a partial sea view. Avoid first or second floor rooms if you like calm. Location is also a good point and the view from the roof is manificiant.
Super hotel Super location Super personal Super service I love it and will always go back Very kind people. I stayed there during a tango event twice in a raw and will always do again Has an Indian restaurant at the venue Thanks
Stayed for 1 week on a business trip, but got to feel like a tourist in this well located hotel almost on the waterfront (Zaytouna) which boasts some of the best restaurant in Beirut. Breakfast venue overlooks the sea, and a good selection but not much variety , everyday same menu. Staff are cordial, and the check in is comfortable and helpful. The in house restaurant serves great Indian food.
A brief two night stay was enough to recognise this hotel as being a lovely place to stay. Staff were excellent, the Indian restaurant was superb and the breakfast area on the 6th floor was a brilliant place to start the day. The room I had was massive - the bed was huge. I've stayed in hotels with rooms smaller than the size of the bed here. That said, the rooms could do with a touch of modernisation and a lick of paint but they were clean, comfy and everything worked. They were just finishing off what will be a truly stupendous roof top bar when done. Highly recommended.
Arrival was good and the location is great. It stops there. There was a down side to most things. Ok the hotel around the pool is under renovation , but its not easy to find the pool amongst the rubbish, signs would help. Breakfast no one to serve coffee, its a real di it your self until either you call fir assistance or they appear at 7.45! This was a 5 day visit the hotel was quiet ate the beginning but a lot of tourists on the last day and whoops the expresso machine disappears and you are told " its only for room service" Room barely cleaned for 2 days . Dressing gown disappeared everyday. Lots of noise from the street. Wifi is a big problem. All in all it. Would have been a great stay, sadly they need better management if this hotel is to be considered as a decent place .
The location of this hotel is good although it's far from being a 'beach hotel' as it is on the opposite side of the promenade which has no beach but has a pleasant walk to see the fisherman catching small fish with very long poles. It was a bit disappointing that the rooftop bar and pool was being renovated ready for the summer season as that would have made the hotel a lot more fun. If you want some sunbathing the best bet is to head to one of the pool clubs on the promenade. Went to Riviere but there are a couple of others including a very nice one only about 200 yards from the hotel which is discreet and more expensive. The highlight of Beirut is the people, very friendly and up for a laugh and great nightlife too. Also the food is excellent. Would definitely go back.
Myself and my wife stayed for 2 nights during a city break to Beirut. Location in Downtown was ideal, with Zaytunay Bay literally across the road giving easy access to the amazing Marina and all the restaurants and eateries located there. The corniche is a 2 minute walk in the other direction. Many other attractions and locations of interest are within walking distance. Customer service however left much to be desired. The checkin process seemed to take an age even though the hotel didn't seem overly busy. The staff didn't seem very interested. Also no flexibility on early checkin or late checkout (even for half an hour) - not that this should be expected but most hotels are fine with slightly early checkin or slightly late checkout. Room was fairly standard for this range of hotel. Double glazed windows would be helpful and the sound of traffic on the roads outside could be problematic for light sleepers. Minibar was a rip although this is now the norm. Wifi was fine on the 3rd floor.
Had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for an evening and had a positive experience overall. Nice rooms, comfy bed, good views. I didnt try their food. This place a very convenient location, 5-minutes walk from downtown beirut for a reasonable price. All other hotels in the downtown area would cost you a fortune. Recommended.
