I stayed here on a whim after being jetlagged, and just meeting my fiance's family after 7 years. We stumbled on this hotel and it was perfect. The view was amazing, the staff was amazing and the roof top pool was absolutely spectacular. Just writing this review I feel pangs about that country and its people. Amazing hospitality and the hotel was no different. I never made it up for me complimentary breakfast as I was exhausted and jet lagged. I was only in town for a day over a week. The rooms were definitely luxury, I had a king bed with a seating area similar to a suite with a huge balcony overlooking part of the Jounieh and the Mediterranean Sea. Keep an eye on bottled water and coffee --they get expensive.
Well this is an average hotel, with expensive rates, for normal rooms. We have booked a suite, the sea view was great from the Jacuzzi, but the overall cleanness of the room is questionable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is mediocre, and the hotel and the rooms need a renovation to become up to the level. Lebanon overall is overrated, with high prices and little value.
I was expecting much more than what I received. The Lebanese economy is down and the number of visitors is below the breakeven point. Perhaps all the hotels are cutting down on their expenses and so is their overall service. The breakfast is poor especially the non-Arabic bread which is several days old. The only positive side of our visit is the overall positive attitude of the reception desk. The room size is good. The price of everything else is extremely high. A bottle of water is $4 while the next door supermarket sells it at less than 50 cents.
One of the Best Hotels I have ever went to... Service is Great, Clean and tide rooms, Breathtaking view in a panoramic jacuzzi (Senior suite), tasty and generous food and a professional friendly staff... Thank You for your well treatment, will definitely back again soon...
i highly recommend this hotel ,staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the view of jounieh bay from the junior suit balcony was amazing, waking up drinking coffee on the balcony in early hours makes u see lebanon at its finest .the room was spacious clean, and the Jacuzzi was extremly relaxing.all in all amazing price for a beautiful stay

Great location, breathtaking view of the jounieh bay, great rooms and hospitality . A special thank you to Mr, Edmond fakhry the owner who handles customer service to the max. I will stay again next time.
Stayed there for 5 nights in September. I had to change rooms, for I wanted to upgrade to junior suite and the owner (Eddie) was really nice about it. When I arrived there(4am), we were greeted and taken care of very nicely. However, there was one person on the front desk during the day that made me regret ever choosing this place. I can't remember his name, but he was the rudest person and mocked me when I asked about which area would be easier to walk towards the sea. He said "haha there's no way to get there" and kept speaking stuff in Arabic that were probably to mock me in the worst way. We walked there by ourselves and yes, you can get there and enjoy the view of the beautiful Mediterranean from close. There's no sand, just rocks, so it won't be your regular beach. Sometimes I would request extra water bottles and never to see them. The breakfast was not that great. The food was not fresh, and the person behind the kitchen counter was nice but didn't speak any English at all. I did make the best of it, only because it was a special time me and my fiance were spending together there. Prepare yourself to spend a lot of $$ in taxi, this hotel is really far from everything and 45 mins from the airport.
When I first checked in it was after 3 the original check in time and I was told my room wasn't ready yet. I waited in the lobby for 15-20 mins until I grew impatient and went back to the front counter receptionist and was told in a rude and high toned voice " the room isnt ready yet, do you understand!?!? " now I had reserved 2 nights and at this point I didnt even want to stay there anymore but I was already charged my deposit so I told the receptionist to cancel my 2nd nights stay. I was told it was canceled and later I saw my bank statements and my card was charged for both nights. this place will cheat you and worst of all customer service is very bad not the sort I am used to in lebanon where mostly everyone is friendly. the other thing I hated is that it is far from everything, pubs, grocery stores, restaurants. there is a restaurant on the top floor of the hotel the food is ok but a bit pricey and the customer service also bad the waiter was on his cellphone the whole time didn't even bother to check on us. avoid the unpleasant stay I experienced from the rude and unprofessional staff that will also cheat you.
Sadly, Valerie is not anymore there. I agaree with Bishooo who commented before my comment (please red him). I think people at the reception should be facilitator and not complicate the life of the guests. Like Thoma reception staff. However the others from reception staff are good. But when I requested things to Thoma he tried to make it difficult and with bad faces. So as guest you need facilitator reception staff, eficient and definitely smily. On the other hand, i found the hotel rooms are still fine. Cleaning is good. I think hotel needs waiter at the breakfast with better manners and experience to don't fall in quality.
