Hotel needs major renovations the rooms are bot hygiene....carpets are all stained... lights in the rooms bot working....NO AMENITIES. Please do not be fooled by the pictures becuase what u see is not what u get these pictures are when the hotel was first opend probably. Stains all over, corridors dirty the AC is old...the hotel needs a hotel.
I booked for 3 nights and stayed one, I couldn't sleep all night. Very old room, noisy and not comfortable, the location is good but I had to pay for the parking, I waited 4 hours to get my refund money! The staff are helpful but the hotel is very bad.
Just look at the pictures and you will have an idea. Good things - good wifi speed, excellent location, they allowed delayed check out by an hour, left luggage facility Bad things - We had to mount the table vertically on the chair just to close the window because window locks were broken a d was opening again and again by wind, bulbs were not working, broken latches, stray wires and electrical, safe was completely unsafe because it never worked, shower curtain was missing though sockets were there, smelled bad in the corridor, no lift from ground to first floor which doesn't make sense because from first floor there was a lift upto the top floor.
The location is very bad and the staff seems are not friendly at all .... and there was no breakfast as they put some silly stuff considering them as breakfast...Finally they have no Internet at room and you have to come to the looby to get connected.... Will never do it again.
This is the worst hotel I ever seen in all my life.. you can t imagine.. smell not good, breakfast I dont know if you can call it breakfast, nothing had good taste.. maybe cheese was expiry I dont want to know it,so no signal wifi in room, light broken, what else?its enough? ....
It was not my 1st time in Lebanon ...hotel location is very good ...we were a group...hotel staff were friendly especially Doha ( reception ) and the night manager ...but hotel needs renovation and more caring from his owner and management...
Could not find this hotel on the first night. It is not actually on Hamra Street but just west of the western end of Hamra Street on Tannoukhiyine Street. At the traffic lights at the end of Hamra Street look up and ahead you will see at the top of the 10 storey tower Grand Hotel. Continue down the hill and the Grand Hotel is just after the Mozart Hotel on the left hand side of the road. But I am afraid it is long past any grandeur and is probably best avoided. It's only saving grace is the excellent location, so close to Hamra Street (if busy is what you like).
the hotel location and style is very good; My first visit was very good but next time was not good because the after noon reception was very bad and the hotel was needed to maintenance and they do not care about. I think the owner must care to fix the hotel as it was before
The hotel Was very dirty, the bath leaking the breakfast is not nice, it was the worst experience ever. I had to change the hotel and I was so upset the website gave it 5 starts it shouldn't it doesn't even worth 1 star.
Toilets are dirty. - A/C is noisy (in case you're lucky to have it working) - Hammering and drilling noises all day as they are renewing at least 2 floors. - Internet is free only in the lobby! - Very unprofessional staff at the reception. - The manager himself does not care about the whole property -he's busy with more important stuff than the hotel as he stated- - Parking is not free either, there's a gang charging you money for parking in a close yard. - Very bad TV signal. - Wardrobe in a miserable condition. - You'll get lost for at least 2 hours as the co-ordinates points to absolutely different location, only delivery guys can help you.
