A good stay - but not great. Rooms were nice enough, but we had to walk to the second building to get to our room - should list this in the description. Staff tried to charge us for breakfast and bar snacks we didn't have. Rooftop pool was nice with good views of the city. Check in was a nightmare - we arrived at 4pm and had to wait about half an hour to check in even though check in was from 2pm. The staff member kept coming back to us saying - another 10 minutes (twice) the third time she said it would be another half hour. eventually after talking to them, they let us into our room... Location is good. close to everything.
We were so well taken care of all during our stay and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff was friendly and efficient and helpful with everything. Add to this the placing of the hotel making it possible to walk to everyhwere in central Beirut.
This is my second stay at the hotel, excellent location, around 15 min walk from the center of the city. Very professional staff, very clean hotel, enjoyed the "shallow" roof top pool, very relaxing. Would mostly come back
The swimming pool, location, and valet service were fabulous! You live luxury in wonderful Beirut in this very nice hotel! I would highly recommend this to all families who want to visit Beirut! Don't forget to walk in Hamra st. and enjoy lebanese food.
Stayed for one week while visiting family in Beirut. We have stayed here several times over the past 4-5 years, and have always enjoyed it. The location is excellent, with easy walking to Hamra and the American University of Beirut campus, as well as a nice walk to downtown Beirut. The rooftop pool has a terrific view, and the gym is well equipped The rooms are comfortable and always very clean, but they are starting to look worn. The bedding is quite nice, and the hotel is quiet at night, so we sleep well while there. The staff is wonderful, always friendly and happy to help. The morning breakfast offers a large variety and has excellent Arabic/Lebanese offerings.
Property is nice but service has declined over the past years. Would not recommend it. Used to be a great place but management is in disrepair. Waited excessively for responses from front desk several times until finally we just moved to another hotel.
This is a very nice hotel, quite, and chic. The staff are very nice and will make sure to explain everything you need to know upon check-in. They will answer your questions even before you ask them. The check-in was fast.
I stayed at this nice hotel with my wife and three children age 8, 13 and 15 during our two weeks vacation in Lebanon; first between 18 to 22 Aug. 2017 and returned back again on 28 Aug. to 2 Sept. 2017. We had a great stay; our check in process was quick and smooth. They offered us orange juce during the short wait. Paul at the front desk upgraded us to a nice Ambassador Suite with a beautiful sea view. He was also kind enough to include free daily breakfast for all. The house keeping staff were very friendly and arranged the beds for our kids in no time. The infinity swimming pool on the roof top has a nice view of the sea and the City. The daily breakfast buffet was standard for 5 star hotels. What made it special every day was Hanine. She wellcomes everybody with a genuine smile specially the kids. The location of the hotel was excellent; within walking distance to Alhamra street and Zaytuna Bay. Hasan at the front desk was also very professional and arranged for our second stay at the same suite. We spent few days at other 5 star hotels during our vacation in Lebanon, but Rotana Gefinor with our favorite. We dafinitely will stay there again if we return to Beirut.
I travelled alone for a wedding and chose this hotel for its location, price and gym facilities. Pros: the gym is pretty well equipped and the pool area on the roof top is also very nice. The location is close to the beach and walking distance into town which is good. The only issue is there is a lot of traffic around that area which makes getting in and out time consuming if you need to go by car. The price is ok compared to other hotels but there are a few cons. Cons: rooms are tired looking and pretty small. My view wasn't nice at all and I felt very enclosed. The staff are not very proactive or friendly which I am more used to. At the pool and cafe for example I had to ask for a drink, I was never offered. I wouldn't stay there again but I did have a great time in Lebanon!
the rooms were clean rooms. place is nice near to shops, restaurants, and night life the AC was hard to manage which couldn't put off when its not needed. service was good. the food is tasty but it can be far better
