Beersheba Lake Retreat #3

Adorable cottage in a tranquil, picturesque setting on a private lake in the spectacular South Cumberland Mountains.

Delightful and cozy, this 2022 custom built 800 square foot two bedroom cottage will be your sanctuary from reality.

Fall asleep to the sounds of frogs and crickets, an occasional owl and perhaps the glorious sound of the beautiful whip-poor-will. And just think of the incredible stargazing you can enjoy lying on a blanket by the lake!

This home has an open floor plan that is designed for gathering together and enjoying the time to unwind. The living / dining / kitchen area is open and has direct access to the covered back deck + view of the private lake.

The downstairs bedroom has a king size bed, the upstairs loft has two queens to sleep a total of 6

The kitchen is fully outfitted for cooking.

There is a large stone fire pit by the lake with comfy Adirondack chairs. Picnic table for family meals by the lake.

Enjoy walking the perimeter of the lake through the quiet woods of over 9 acres, with wildflowers, and beautiful native plants and trees along the way. Only one other house has access to the lake and property and it is discreetly tucked away out of sight.

Pack a picnic lunch and walk to the other side and enjoy the solitude!

You are welcome to bring your kayak and fish to your heart's content, you will find bass, brim, crappie and catfish. One end of the lake would be suitable for shoreline casting. Please note that the lake does not have a beach, but is surrounded by protective wetland along most of its shoreline. You can launch your kayak easily, however it is not suitable for wading or swimming.

The house is located down a long gravel driveway.

Just minutes away from the majesty of the new Savage Gulf State Park. This newest Tennessee State Park has over 30 miles of hiking for all skill levels, glorious waterfalls, and magnificent overlooks where you can see for miles.

Located just a few miles down the road from the Coalmont OHV Park and less than 30 minutes to the Caverns Music Venue

Important Note: Ladybugs are very common in our region. Certain times a year we do experience some ladybugs inside of homes. Please know that all lady bugs are removed by housekeepers during the cleaning process, but are likely to be back quite quickly in large quantities.

Beershaba Lake Retreat was just perfect for my girls weekend getaway. It had everything we needed for cooking our breakfast and dinner. The beds were very comfortable . We loved having coffee on the deck every morning and listening to the frogs sing at night. Definitely would return for another visit.

We stayed here for our honeymoon! We were planning to be out for most of our time, and have the cabin to come back to at night; however, the weather had other plans for us! The area is beautiful and a great waterfall close by. The disappointment in trying to fish was a let down . The lily pads were so grown up around banks of lake. That was one of the reasons to pick the spot where we could fish. The kayak was nice but my husband cant swim so not a good idea to send him in kayak. Life preserve would be a good idea to keep there as well.

Very nice clean place. Very quiet and pretty place. Joe the manger is very nice and answered the phone right away. Cabin has everything needed including a couple fishing rods. Just supply the crickets or worms. Very highly recommended.

The Perfect Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The proximity to the water, the privacy, the beauty and simplicity of the cabin, and the atmosphere was everything we were hoping for and more. The house was stocked with basic necessities, plenty of towels, and cookware. Everything was clean and fresh and the check-in/check-out process was as easy as possible. It looks like they were building another cabin retreat next door, and we hope to stay in that one next year, as we plan to make this trip our annual get-a-way. Thank you for the wonderful trip!

Small town getaway

House as described. Has a coffee pot/kuerig combo and nicely provided k-cups. Deck and firepit are nice. Stairs to upstairs beds are steep.Keep in mind there are no closets or kitchen towels. King bed was ok if slept in middle. Had indentions already on sides. Did not fish, but looks like good place for it bringing own gear. Close to Home restaurant in Altamont was good. Hiking was the reason we chose the area. We do want to visit the area again in the future.
