Excellent value for money

Doing an event in Bedford so stayed the night before. Very convenient location close to Bedford, very clean and excellent value for money. Staff were efficient and friendly. Even though there was a wedding with an evening DJ we had a room at the back of the hotel and were not disturbed by the disco. Great pub less than 10 minute walk away.

Characterful Hotel in lovely grounds, we stayed in the out building which was spacious and quiet. Room was clean and tidy and so was bathroom. Shower was warm with good pressure, our only concern was the floor tiles got very slippery when wet, care had to be taken! The full English Breakfast was excellent and service was very good. Would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

A hidden gem

Expected more

I feel disappointed with my stay as my basic room (advertised as budget room at other sites) I got. I had to move out of it due to a water leak in the building. The room that I was offered instead (after some persuasion with a member of staff) was nowhere near I asked for during the booking. It was far to close to the kitchen area, so noises of cooking/washing up was from 7AM till very late at night. Because the stand of the fan in my room was broken, I had to have the window open during the hottest days of the year yet. I decided to move out sooner than booked for, despite being paid. The only reason I'm not giving lower ratings is the quality of breakfast and lunch options.
