Outside, a private dock offers direct access to the calm, motorboat-free waters of Long Bow Lake, perfect for kayaking, fishing, or simply enjoying the peaceful setting. End the day with a relaxing sauna session before gathering around the fireplace for a quiet evening indoors.

Wildlife: This is a home in a rural part of the country. You may see wildlife including deer, coyotes, foxes, beavers, and bears. Please be mindful of your surroundings and leaving out food and trash.
Weather: In the winter, there will be snow, ice, and occasional snowstorms. We recommend driving a vehicle with AWD or 4WD. Please drive with caution and be prepared with regards to the ability of your vehicle to drive in the snow.
Power & Internet: This is a rural part of the country. You may lose power or internet during inclement weather. We do not issue refunds for loss of power or internet out of our control.
AC: There is 1 ductless mini-split AC unit that services the primary bedroom on the 2nd floor.
Pets: We’re happy to welcome your pup to the home. There’s a $150 fee + tax for the first dog and $50 + tax for each additional one. If you’re planning to bring more than one, please reach out to us before completing your booking so we can get everything set up for you. For everyone’s comfort, we kindly ask that dogs stay leashed outdoors and that you clean up after them. Please note that cats aren’t permitted due to allergy concerns. Any pet-related damages may result in additional charges.
EV Charger: Available upon request for $40 per stay. The Emporia Pro Level-2 EV charger installed has a 9.6 kW maximum power and a Tesla/NACS connector. It can also charge cars with other plug types (e.g.: CCS/J1772), however you will need to supply your own plug adapter. Please let us know prior to arrival so we can have it ready for you.
Long Bow Lake: This property has private access to Long Bow lake. While we openly advertise the lake access feature, please mind that:
- There is no life guard on duty at the lake.
- We have no control over the quality of the water at any given time, and the Sherwood Green Association may deem it necessary to limit access to the lake if the testing results require so, without prior notice.
- While we do not prohibit ice-fishing in the lake during the winter months, we definitely do not encourage it for safety reasons! Please assess any risks and consider your group's safety before ice-fishing at the lake.
Maximum occupancy: Please mind that this house can host a maximum of 7 guests per fire code. As per the fire department, infants are included in that number. Therefore, any infants included in the booking above maximum occupancy of 7 would unfortunately result in the reservation being cancelled.
Cancellation Policy: We cannot make any exceptions to our cancellation policy. Please consider traveler’s insurance.
