We had only one night stay at the hotel. We found our room comfortable and very clean. The service was very good and helpful. The breakfast was good. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant and it was lovely, with very good service.
Recently stayed on business and had a pleasant enough stay. Billed as 4 star and the amenities offered are broadly in line with that claim even if the quality of the fixtures and fitting don't quite add up to the same rating. Comfortable rooms and despite the marble floors quite warm. Bathroom fittings a bit worn (shower head broken, cracked shower tray, stained wall) but otherwise functional. Staff were very friendly, reception, bar and restaurant, efficient too. Breakfast is a typical Italian morning spread, the scrambled egg, bacon and sausage leave a bit to be desired but plenty of other carbs to fuel up on and decent coffee on offer. A reasonably priced, well positioned hotel with good, dedicated staff that would benefit a bit of a makeover. That said it is characterful and more pleasant than a more modern 'neighbour' I used on a previous visit. Could do worse.
If this hotel deserves 4 stars I must be Pope. I booked a room on Hotwire advertising nice 4* hotel with excellent review score for 200! Euros per night. Arriving here I thougt somebody is joking. Worn out hotel, dirty and smelly room, uncomfortable bed, breakfast and service disaster. Except personel at front desk kind othewise not even 2* disaster.
I had two nights in the Hotel Alla Rocca in July 2016 while there on business. The hotel is excellently positioned, very close to the town square which is a great place for a drink after work. The restaurant on site is excellent and highly recommended. Service was efficient and friendly and in English. However I found the room tired - two uncomfortable single beds (one absolutely terrible!) and an air conditioner that seemed to make more noise than cold air. Despite being rated as a 4 star I would say it is actually closer to a 3 star. There is no question that this hotel has great potential but it needs a bit of an update and upgrade.
The hotel is located in the town center and features a marble staircase and parquet floors testifying to its grand past; this property is said to have opened as a hotel in 1796, the same year John Adams became president of the US. Rooms are medium sized and appear to have been recently renovated, but bathrooms are one of the hotel's weak spots, Fixtures are pretty elderly and need attention and/or replacement—at least in the rooms I've stayed in recently. Cleanliness could be improved. A/C is almost nonexistent, even if you opt for the max fan speed. Housekeeping will turn it off when they do your room, so you have to start all over again when you get back to your room. Very maddening. Car parking is limited to a maximum of 5-7 spots, which are located right in front of the hotel door and require you to negotiate a treacherous curved ramp that poses no problem for a small Fiat but warrants a lot more attention if you drive an executive car or an SUV. If those parking spots are taken (they typically always are), there's an underground garage (which I understand is not free of charge) that you reach through another narrow, curvy ramp. Again, maneuvering in/out of this garage requires some attention. On weekdays, parking spaces are available on the street and they're free between 7PM and 8AM. As the hotel staff will undoubtedly tell you, every Saturday.there is an open market across the road from the hotel So, you either find a rare parking spot right before the hotel door or you'll have to park a few hundred meters away. Access to the underground garage being barred during market hours. Hotel rates are not expensive for a 4-star and continental breakfast is included. So is Wi-Fi but it's pretty lame and virtually useless.
Rooms and service are good, it's have restaurant which will get delicious Italian food variety... Hotel receptionist can communicate in English... Overall stay is good Located center of buzzano, near to casle
I stay in this hotel every month as it is ideally located for me, it's in a nice location close to Bazano square where there are restaurants and bars. The restaurant in the hotel has high quality home made made at reasonable prices, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The bar has a good variety of drinks available with excellent wine. Rooms are comfortable but basic all have wooden floors so only issue is sometimes clip clop of high heels as people walk around. Would recommend if I the area.
Nice rooms with and excellent bar and restaurant, Located just outside of my business destination. Parking available both external and underground. I had a twin room but one bed was incredibly soft and squeaked every movement but the other bed was rock hard, but rock hard was better than the other. Friendly staff and good menu in restaurant, however there are other places to eat just down the road but find out if it's open before you leave as some are close on certain week days and might be seasonal. A good hotel for a short stay.
We stay at Alla Rocca each time we need to visit the region. We have been used to that for many years now. We like staying here, the village, the many excellent eating places. Everything is at human dimension. A nice feeling
We booked here so the Ferrari Tour and museums 30 min drive was in easy reach which it was. the hotel also offered adequate parking, comfortable bed clean rooms spacious bathroom, good breakfast helpful friendly staff. A little out of the way and not much choice for eating especially if you want dinner before 7.30 in the evening.
