This hotel is cheaply furnished. Recliner chair was broken. Could not adjust room temperature. Smoking receptacle lay broken on the ground for 2 day stay. Hard to believe prices are usually higher than HI Express next door.

This Candlewood is the best I ever stayed at. All the amenities are nice and very maintained. Check in was smooth, the manager at front desk was very friendly. She made feel welcomed and valued. The room was very clean, spacious and practical. Air-conditioning was awesome I stepped into a room with the perfect temperature after a hot day. I loved it. The bed was comfortable I had a restful sleep. I would gladly recommend Candlewood Suites Bay City to anyone passing thru or staying in Bay City, TX.

I was promised when booking that my bed could get a hoyer lift under it to lift me down in the bed. We get there n the bed frame is leaning in wall and the box spring n mattress is flat on floor. I asked for a refund that day and was told it would work. We ended up staying two nights at Hampton. I need my money and compensation for the troubles we had to go through. I’m paralyzed n was finally put to bed after 3am

Dear Guest, I am the one you or your husband spoke with on the phone weeks before you actually booked. As I speak with several callers on the phone, I do not recall if it was you or your husband, but I do recall what I said. I informed you that our beds do not raise in any way. I said the only way we could modify the bed (as I have personally done for others) was to remove the frame and have the box spring and mattress on the floor. This allows easier transport from a chair to the bed. I also informed you that as a Candlewood Suites, we do not offer breakfast other than items for sale in the Cupboard. You still chose to book with us. Shortly before arrival, you called and provided vague instructions to the desk. You became upset and surprised that we did not have a breakfast or a pool. I believe you wanted your "husband to have these as he takes care of you". We advised you that our property may not be the best choice for you and since we, as a hotel, could not modify your third party booking, suggested you reach out to whom you booked with. I can only assume you did not as you still stayed with us. I apologize that we did not have what you were needing or looking for, but you were informed of what we could and could not do for you, yet you still chose to stay. I do hope you have better experiences in future travel, but keep in mind that some extended stay properties, which is what your third party booking agencies chose for you, may not have what you need.
