Went for a youth baseball tournament. Do yourself a favor and stay in Baton Rouge or somewhere else. This place is horrible.

Hotel was clean and staff was very nice. Only thing I’d suggest is to keep pool cleaner. It was not dirty but the chemicals need to be regulated better. It was very cloudy.

Room was modified. Not what I originally booked. The Wifi doesn't work and the place is dirty and roaches in the rooms. ETC. Did not give me a good impression.

I liked location, lake, breakfast, beds. I did not like noise and fact that our keys never worked and we had to have someone open door for us every time.

Old and run down, but a good staff. Pool looked clean.

The room I was given was a mess. I had my dog with me so I was given a specific room reserved for dogs however it was a mess... the only clean thing in that room was the bed. The carpet was not vacuumed and you could see cheese-its on the ground from another guest. The sink area was dirty and you could tell housekeeping had sprayed their pink cleaner on it but never even attempted to wipe it up. There was even pink spray on the toiletries. The bathroom toilet was a mess. There was dust on every appliance. I am not sure if because I had a dog I was given a sub-par room but I had to pay an extra fee for him. It was gross. I would not stay or book here.

The comforter was clearly not washed, there were spider webs all over, and the TV didn't work. And, after I complained to the staff who basically did nothing, I notice there was blood spatter on the comforter!! I want my money back!!!

Everything went very well. Hotel is old but very clean and well maintained. beautiful peaceful location. Dinner and breakfast very convenient so you dont have to leave hotel if you dont want to. My stay was near perfect except for bad reception on tv which i dont care a whole lot about since i dont watch much anyhow. the only problem i had was entirely my fault as i seemed to have not packed a small container of jewelry properly and it must have fallen out of my roll bag in my room while leaving. The jewelry was not worth a whole lot of money but had great sentimental value so i am sad about that. it could have happened anywhere though. I guess whomever cleaned the room got a very nice tip! Enjoy!

Was great experience enjoyed my stay woukd do it again.

Ok, so look you get what you pay for. Don't think this is the Ritz. That being said, our rooms were so different. Had 2 rooms, the double queen room was clean, air & TV were great. The shower was just a dribble though. The other room, 2 doubles, smelled like mold and was dark and dank. But it worked. When I go back I'll try the Best Western but if it's sold out I'd stay here.

Everyone was very nice and helpful!! Rooms were nice and clean!! Will stay there again and would recommend to anyone!!!

Staff very friendly. Book two night, stayed only one. Moved from first room -- dirty, dirty, dirty. Mold everywhere in bath, Dust and dirt everywhere. Broken furniture. SMELLED bad. Bed spreads had holes, tattered. Same for blankets. Entrance, stairway and access to stairs dirty, had spills, old paint and cigarette butts.

We needed a place to stay while doing some ministry work. Overall hotel was good. Our coffepot was broke and they did not fix it. We did not have washclothes put back in our room. Would stay again, people were friendly.

went for a wedding at Hemingbough. It was hard to find a reservation because of the Angola Rodeo. I settled for the first place I could find. It was just okay.

It was a good location for going off and doing day trips to the surrounding antibellum homes that were open for tours. To be fair the Magnuson is going thru a transition from a Quality Inn to the Magnuson. Our bath was not real clean and had mold growing on the walls around the tub. The carpet was damp and sort of sticky. Since we left at the last minute this was one of the few places to stay as the B and Bs were booked up.With alittle cleaning up it could be a decent place.

Matt, I truly apologize that you experienced some difficulty while staying with us, may I please have a little more information, so that I can check the room you stayed in for bugs, verify the wi-fi router located near the room is operational (as we've not had any internet issues). What room did you stay in, and when did you stay? I would really appreciate it if you can give me a call or provide me with the above information so that I may contact you

Dear Mona, Please accept my apology for the condition in which you found your room on arrival. I can assure you that you were not given a substandard room due to your pet needs. This was an error on our part in that this room for some reason completely was not cleaned properly. I will look into the reasons further to ensure this type of situation does not occur again. I do hope we were able to resolve the matter while you were here, moving you to a more acceptable room. Again , thank you and we are so so sorry you were made to experience this shortfall on our part. Please give us another chance to make this up to you should your travels bring you to the area. Sincerely, Bob Wilson, CHA General Manager
