The room was a family room. It was in the basement. The bathroom was small and mildewed.

My friend and I were unsure about booking this hotel, but we ended up having a wonderful stay. We got a much bigger room than we thought we had reserved, which was a nice start. We had less than 48 hours in town, but because the hotel was so close to all the sights we were able to do everything we hoped, and more! My friend was not impressed with the breakfast, but I found it perfectly acceptable and thought the upstairs breakfast room was nice. The radiator in the bathroom was very productive. We called the bathroom "the sauna". There didn't seem to be any climate controls for individual rooms, but the radiators in the sleeping rooms were fine. The building was not ornate, but had some solid Georgian details remaining. It was clean and not noisy. We were in the back, and there was some construction happening to buildings there, but the heavy equipment hours seemed reasonable. We were there during the week in mid-September. I would definitely stay again.

66 steps to walk up to the 3rd floor, carrying lugguage without hotel staff's assistance. The hot water pot provided was mouldy. The milk was already spoiled. Breakfast hours were too short. I was not offered any tea or coffee. When I opened the window in the room, worms came in, and the window parts were all rusty and dirty, because the building is very old.
