Best Western Sunseeker Motor Inn

This is a good motel, clean and new. It's conveniently located on the main road The receptionist was friendly and helpful The price was reasonable compared to many others on the south coast. My only complaint was the ridiculous wifi sign-on process.

Motel backs onto main highway. Even with double glazing, truck noise is evident through the night. No cable TV as promised. Coffee cups were dirty. Bathroom in need of refurbishment. Quite a long walk into town for restaurants etc.

We booked this hotel at the last minute. It looked a bit dated on the outside but we were very pleased with the room. It looks like they have been updated within the last few years. Very clean and better than I expected. In a room at the southern part of the hotel so the wifi was a bit sketchy. I was pleased with the hotel and would stay there again.

We made a last minute booking for an overnight stay; arrival was a bit confusing as the paperwork for our booking was not readily available, but it was quickly sorted, and we were given a ground level room, although we had to park around the corner as there was some sorting going on, with a large skip bin parked opposite our room. The room was large and comfortable, but no external windows, so no natural light. Bed was very comfortable and everything we needed was there. We didn't try to access the wifi, as it is often a problem in Batemans Bay. The restaurant was closed - no reason given. Fine for an overnight stay and surprisingly quiet given the road outside. No traffic noise at all in the room.

Had a good time here - good room very clean and settled in to have a meal in the restaurant. I can honestly say I had the best steak in years here cooked to the way I like it and beautifully tender. Hubby had a mixed fish platter which he said wa excellent as well. Had great sleep so would definitely be back.

We spent one night. Room was excellent. Double glazing on windows a real bonus. Couldn't have asked for more would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Good location with easy access to town and for trips either north or south.

We spent two nights at the Best Western Sunseeker Motor Inn on our final stretch in December of our drive around Australia. It was excellent for what we paid and what we expected, right off the highway it was surprisingly quiet, we honestly didn’t hear any vehicle traffic all night. The room was large, clean and everything was working fine, the inn is close to or easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do in Batemans Bay. We heard people complaining about wifi and all that nonsense, again people, wifi is not a basic human right so get out and enjoy life or shut it! It’s such a non-issue and it irritates me when people get all bent about it. That’s my counter-rant over now. Staff were friendly, room was good enough for us and we would definitely stay here again.

Don't normally participate in reviews but am making an exception this time. Enjoyed a lovely meal here on a Monday evening which was spoiled by a grumpy waitress who couldn't manage a smile and was very rude taking our orders. Secondly, the owner who likes to talk to customers but doesn't realise he's been talking for 10 minutes whilst we just wanted to enjoy our meal in peace. Not the cleanest of bars, the coffee machine looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. Ruined a very nice dinner.. highly recommend the food if your happy with a grump and a non stop talker.

A nice clean, large room. Good shower facilities BUT . . . Fridge had been turned off so when we arrived we opened the door and watched the water run out !! Toilet cistern needed a regular "tweek" to get the flush to work (take the top off and jiggle the valve about !) And last, but by no means leadt is the UTTERLY SHAMBOLIC WI-FI. Constant disconnection. Please wake up to the current customer expectations / requirements !!! Wi-fi is now as much a NECESSITY as a fridge and hair drier !

First off, this was not a bad place as far as cleanliness, value or location is concerned. It is right off Prince's Highway and easily accessed. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and had a nice shower. The restaurant was not open that evening but breakfast was available. We did not eat breakfast there. In spite of that this portion of the review awards the hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Four stars The overall rating is based on the fact that this is 2016 and people want to be connected to the web. The hotel did have wifi. But if you were lucky enough to have it show up as a choice and got connected to it and chose to sit somewhere else in the room you would loose your connection. Connecting is a two step process with two user names and two passwords. You are only allowed one user for that connection. If you have an Phone with a hot spot it will go off line if anyone tries to connect through it. I would stay again if I was in the area even with the bad wifi. I'd just use the data on my Phone. My wife would probably not.
