Could not find a better place to just kick back and relax. Resort is lovely rooms are well appointed. The beach had some seaweed issues, but that was not a big deal. Hopped on a bus and went to another cleaner beach, Pools were great, food was a little pricey. Would not hesitate to recommend, or return.
Beautiful resort, newly renovated huge, 2 bedroom viila. The staff was so nice, very helpful, kind friendly. Great location, 3 great pools, easy beach access, fabulous restaurants, centrally located in St. Kitts.
We booked Marriott St. Kitt's because our usual location was full, so we decided to try some place new. The resort is clean, the staff is great, and we had a very relaxing time. Mario and the entire Activities Staff were very friendly and fun to hang with. The rooms were large, with a full kitchen and also a stack washer/dryer. The waterfront view from the deck was awesome and we spent a lot of time there - coffee in the morning, daiquiri's in the evening. We also ate dinner at the resort every night. Although there are a few dining options that are walkable, we didn't get enough good info to try them, especially not after dark. Not that we felt unsafe, just didn't want to walk down a dark street. The positive - the food was generally VERY good, and the service was also good. The negative - not inexpensive, but I suspect that is true for a lot of places. Considering a cab to Basseterre is about $20 each way, unless there is a restaurant that you really want it is much easier to eat on site. we also ate breakfast at the Calypso a couple of times. Generally the buffet is very good, with a lot of choices, including omelets and waffles. however, twice we went when it was rather crowded, and they do not have enough staff to handle a lot of people at once. One of the times a soccer team was there. Since they came in all at once, they took over the buffet and either we couldn't get service or everything was gone. Since it is rather expensive, $50 was a lot to pay for basically oatmeal and juice. I realize that this serves both the hotel and the resort, but I think they could've made other arrangements to serve the team. Typically when we go to a marriott, we will cook on the grills provided, or cook in the kitchen. However, there is not a full-service food store nearby, so there wasn't much we could've cooked on our own. Ram's is across the street, but their selection is very limited. it is true that part of the beach has a seaweed problem. They clean it up every day, but it is still in the water. Having said that, most of the beach is unaffected, and they also offer free shuttles to other nearby beaches.
We are never disappointed with our Marriott Time Share. We traded to St. kitts for a must deserved vacation with my brothers and spouses and my best friend. It was AMAZING! Beautiful property, newly renovated villas that were gorgeous and the staff was fantastic. From Boston the activities person and Mario in activities to the vacation club check in people, the whole experience was fabulous. Great staff. Always a warm hello and how is your stay, to can we do anything for you. Two receptions for owners on vacation clubs and three visits personally to see how everything was going. Thanks guys for a great family trip. We had two villas and will be back in the future.
Visited my Daughter who is attending Ross University. My first time in St Kitts. We stayed in a second floor Villa facing the ocean. Breathtaking views from our patio. Just gorgeous. The accommodations were great. Full kitchen, washer and dryer. Two pools, a spa, shops,a casino and restaurants. The beach was so peaceful too even with the seaweed washed up. I could have layed there for days. Staff was great always checking in on us to see if we needed anything. Activities were planned every day if you didn’t leave the resort to tour the island. A lot of family friendly activities as well. Traveled to several beaches in the area all had spectacular views. Kayaks and boards available to rent. Beach bars on all. You can visit a beach on the Atlantic side or the Caribbean side. Both awesome. If your going to St Kitts, the Marriott is “the” place to stay. FIVE stars from me.
My husband and I and a guest of ours visited Marriott’s St. Kitts Beach Club August 08-17, 2019. This is our second trip to Marriott’s St. Kitts Beach Club our first time was December 05-12, 2014. We enjoyed it so much we decided to come back not realizing so many changes had been made. I don’t think I will ever return. The rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable we were in a 2-bedroom. Beautiful resort view all around. I do want to mention that food and beer is expensive as well as any activities you might want to take part in. Marriott you need to add some incentive towards your restaurant’s very expensive to dine. Also partner up with some of the activities vendor to make it a little more affordable for your guest. It is ridiculous how guest are being charged so many surcharges and tips. Some staff members are not worthy of tips that are included and I am a good tipper. (2028 Vickesha) at the Bohemia pool bar was very unprofessional never smiled. I asked a question about a drink and food she acted as if she was irritated and annoyed. ( 2028-Vickesha ) needs proper training in communication and customer service skills not only was she unprofessional with me but with other guest as well. When I reported this to the General Manger Candace she explained she would speak with Donovan her Manager at the pool bar. I saw Candace at the wine and cheese social a couple days later, she asked me if Donovan had followed up with me, I told her no, she than stated she would follow back up with him 3 days later he saw me at the pool and spoke with me. I told him how rude (2028-Vickesha) was and how expensive the food and drink were he then stated he had no control over food prices. He stated the chef controls the food prices. Candace the General Manager mentioned to him he should offer my husband and myself a drink on the house. Wow another person who is a so called manager (Donovan) who also needs customer service training. Over it was a good trip but won’t be returning. My first trip in 2014 was the best before Marriott got all these 2 and 3 parties involved in their business bad move on your part. These people that I did come in contact with had the best customer service skills: Candace Marriott’s General Manager, Kera at the pizza station, Fiona, Onzel, Nardo and Mario all at the activity center, Kimbo one of your workers, Rojay at Sky Ultra Lounge. They all where professional and courteous and knows the meaning of great customer service. Again I want to thank these guys for everything, Pokeno
After reading numerous reviews, we decided to vacation here. We are so glad we did. We had a two bedroom Oceanside view on the timeshare side, thanks to our amazing pre-arrival specialists, Nicola and Tyshari. When we arrived a little after 2:00 pm, we were greeted by a doorman and bellman and our bags were taken out of the taxi and to our room. We were greeted by friendly, smiling receptionists (Elisha), our room was ready, and we were handed our keys. The check in process was very quick. We were given unit 6200. The unit was really big and spacious with up to date appliances and furnishings, and overlooked the ocean. The unit was provided with everything you needed included laundry and dish detergent. The resort itself is big and has everything you would need on a vacation. The resort has a jewelry store (Kay's Jeweler), duty free spirit beverage store with cheap prices, souvenir shops, car rental location, and tour desks. There are 3 swimming pools. the pool closet to our unit had bingo everyday at 4:00pm, look for Mario. He was the best host/activity specialists. All the guests seemed to really like him the most. Security is very visible on the property and you feel safe at all times. This resorts seems to be popular among some of the locals as well, due to the casino and restaurants. Not once did our family feel unsafe. Everyone seemed very nice. We were shuttled from the resort to several other beaches due to seaweed; however, the beach at the resort was not that bad at all and have several areas where there was no seaweed. We swam in the beach several days while there. Although, the beach is on the Atlantic side the water was very calm and small fish was present. They even had beach wait staff on the beach while we were there. Unfortunately, we did not try the restaurants on property except for the Pizza Shack, which was delicious, due to our picky eater lol. Some of the guests we spoke to said the Blue and Royal Steakhouse were good as well as the sushi. Overall, this resort is a must while visiting St. Kitts. The staff treated you like you were at a 5+ start hotel. Management even came by our room to make sure everything was okay and if there was anything that we needed or address any concerns that we may have had. Of course we didn't have any. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with your family, with everything onsite, this is the place for you. We are definitely going back!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Beach Club. Like other customers have reported, the suites are very spacious - a large kitchen and living area, two bedrooms and a great patio leading out to the pool. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Since it was their low season when we visited, there were many chairs available and the pool was mellow and uncrowded. We also enjoyed some of the activities they provided each day. After booking out stay, we found out about the sargassum seaweed that is affecting many caribbean islands on the Atlantic side. I had a very difficult time finding accurate and up to date information about the beach at the Marriott. Basically, the water directly in front of the Marriott was unswimmable due to the seaweed floating in the water and coming up on shore. However, if you walk further north, they do have an area that is protected by rocks and the seaweed is pushed out and there is very little there. However the hotel was very accomodating and provided some discounts and free transportation to other beautiful beaches unaffected. I have posted two pictures - one of the area that you can't swim in and the other of the area that was swimmable. I think that the hotel should have contacted us earlier than a few days prior about this problem. The only reason I knew was that I was on the website and saw the warning when you go to book a room. Anyway, the overall concensus from our family was that overall we enjoyed the property - comfortable and generally a good value for the cost.
Our cruise stopped on St. Kitts and we were limited with activities because we had a child under 2. We opted to spend the day here. It was incredibly underutilized. For $35/day you can get a beach pass or for $155/day you could get a room. We opted for the room. The beach had cabanas with lounge chairs. While the water was a little rough, the pool (also underutilized) was a pleasure. If you want a clean not crowded place to enjoy....this is the place.
I am a titanium member at the Marriott, who traded my Palm Beach, Florida timeshare for St. Kitts. The quality of the resort, rooms, beach and staff is very poor. I have traveled the world to include places with great poverty and never experienced such nasty behavior and disregard as this resort. I asked for help and zero management would make any effort. The tennis courts are a good indication of the quality of the resort, which is terrible. I hired the resorts tour company and when their was an issue with being over charged by 50% Marriott would not help as they claim they were another business. Do yourself a favor and do not stay at this hotel. The Hyatt and the Farm are much nicer places. This resort is a dump. Don’t pay more than $100 if you stay here as it is not worth more.
