The staff was excellent, very helpful with arranging transport, guiding with restaurant info. When needing an extra night they accommodated. Very convenient location with grocery store, restaurants, public transport all right there.

Comfortable hotel central Liestal great breakfast

Central and clean hotel in Liestal, near the small downtown and train station. Friendly staff, super clean and nice breakfast with warm fresh bread, fruit etc. The actual building has a supermarket below (and a strange entrance - better use the stairs on the side). The rooms are spacious, although I thought it was too expensive for somewhat dated rooms, and functional corridors. Still would be happy to stay again.

Professional team in a peaceful place

This was a stressful trip for our family. The team at the Engel Hotel made it less stressful. They helped make phone calls where needed, let us store our luggage for a few hours, provided free water bottles, and were warm and friendly all throughout the stay. As a customer, you will also get a free public transportation pass for the duration of your stay. It was very helpful. The only thing that was missing was a thermostat in the room to control the heater and air conditioner. Otherwise, we have no complaints. :)

I booked a room in this hotel because of the location and also because of the restaurant. Room was more expensive than other hotels in the area. But I thought it was a good idea to pick an hotel with a good When I arrived around 17:00 I felt that I was the only guest in the hotel. Everything was closed in the lobby and only a lady at the reception. She was a nice person.
