We needed to cancel our reservation, but the hotel was unavailable to take our calls at all.
Stayed at this property during Art Basel in June. The property is on the French side of Basel, but it is easy to get into Basel via Tram 11 at the St. Louis Grenze stop (about a 5-7 minute walk). The room has a small refrigerator and kitchen area. You can make basic meals using the microwave and range. There is a Carrefour City in St. Louis, which makes it easy for grocery shopping. A hotel shuttle to BSL Airport, via local taxi, can be pre-arranged through the hotel. You must make the reservation 48 hours ahead of time. There was some confusion on the pickup at BSL Airport (you need to head to P1 Express Zone, which is outside the airport on the French side).
Stayed here overnight as it was cheaper to stay in France then it was to stay in Switzerland. There is absolutely nothing around the area. Would recommend if you just need a place to stay overnight. It is very easy to get there via public transportation although there is still some walking involved.
parking is 8 euro for one day- they block your credit card 80 euros for parking controller. You can only pay by euro not chf! If somebody burned chicken in the room you have to smell all day.. Because in the room there is no Hoods - Extractors..
My wife and I were very pleased with this hotel. It was excellent value for the money. The front desk employees were extremely helpful and friendly and the location was very convenient for access to Basel and St. Louis. The room itself was was very clean and provided everything we needed and expected. I would highly recommend this hotel and would be pleased to stay here again if we ever return to Basel.
great location for Basel airport proximity was great - parking was free on street parking. the unit was small and compact but it amazingly had everything. great value for the low cost - but perfect for us as we had a 6:30flight which meant we left the hotel at 4:30 am.
Very inexpensive. Very basic room. Smallish beds. Small flat-screen TV. Shower stall with curtain instead of a shower door. Thin carpet, but not worn out. No tissues. But free internet. Room is very clean. Staff helpful. Only 30 meters from trams in Basel Switzerland. Considering the price, an excellent bargain. Exceptionally close to Novartis corporate headquarters.
