The staff were lovely, the food was delicious, room was lovely the only thing i would say is. There was no heating on in the room the bathroom towel rail wasnt on, so it felt quite cold so much so we didnt use the shower. They just needr the heating on.

This was probably our 5th or 6th stay at The Craven Heifer but the first since it changed hands from being a family run establishment to being part of a large chain. As always the property was very clean and tidy and very well maintained, definitely no complaints there. For us, the food had always been a selling point of The Craven Heifer, fresh locally sourced produce freshly cooked however on this occasion we did not have an opportunity to experience an evening meal but we did enjoy breakfast which was as good as it always had been. Will we stay there again when we're in the area... Definitely!

We have stayed here before. The bedrooms are in different areas we were in room 10 in The lodge a ground floor room with hard to open patio doors and a small table. The room is a good size though, usual tea coffee facilities you would expect. A small table inside with two armchairs. Dressing gowns prividd were lovely and soft a nice touch compared to rough ones I have used elsewhere. Breakfast was between 8am to 10:00 we got there abouts 9:30 we were presented with a menu. No fruit juices, cereals or yoghurt on display. We asked for juice but its unclear if its available I spotted a couple with juices so we asked for apple. Breakfast menu has various options I cannot eat a full cooked breakfast so opted for bacon. Avocado with mushrooms on toast. It tasted lovely and I enjoyed it. We had dinner the night before I recommend booking as it was busy. Steak was tasty though hard to cut a little tough in places. My husband had the pork tomahawk, chips were not very pleasant. An enjoyable stay easy checkout.

The Craven Heiffer has a warm and welcoming atmosphere - staff were professional, friendly and approachable and the service was excellent! My hotel room was lovely and spacious, the bed was comfortable and I had great nights sleep. I will definitely plan a return journey … the bar staff were lovely and I’d like to thank Gemma in particular !
