The Check in was quick and faultless, the staff were courteous and professional. The hotel was a good standard and clean and the facilities were good. Nice pool however there were. It enough sun loungers so we found a space on the grass. The bar was small but nice, we did not eat in the hotel. Great parking, free and plenty of spaces and the grounds were beautiful. The room was a good size, nicely furnished, has safe and refrigerator no mini bar. Great shower, large and powerful. The rooms were quiet. If this is a stop over for a night it is perfect. The only negative comment is that the hotel Is poorly situated for walking into Bari, as we were informed it was a 20 minute walk, it was about 40 minutes and having to walk though unkempt residential areas, we felt a little un-nerved even though we are used to frequently travelling around remote towns. Bari itself is easily forgotten, not a pretty as pictures depict, and we definitely would not return.
This hotel is amazing! Great rooms, great pool, great service, great breakfast, great environment. It is so beautiful that you dont want to leave the hotel. The rooms are large and very clean. The only con for me its the distance to the old city...but you can take a taxi for 8-10 euros. The neighbourhood of the hotel its not very nice...its old...but the hotel is an oasis itself. It is perfect for relaxing. It is a hotel that i will always remember because of the statues, the fontains, the beautiful parks and of course the villa Romanazzi!
We got a really good price and the experience here has been very nice. The pool is really great and breakfast is also fine. The staff helped us out a lot and the bar was good too ( the prices are almost the same as in the center and they are not being furgal with the alcohol).
The hotel was everything I had anticipated after reading the glowing reviews from people that had stayed there before. I was only there for one night and was taking a very early morning flight the following day. I didn't use the pool but I could see it from my room and it looked very nice. The hotel is a little oasis in the middle of Bari. The room was clean and comfortable. I had dinner at the restaurant and the food was exceptional. I was seated outside and it started pouring just as my food was delivered. I was not affected as I was protected by the building but most of the people were moved inside to finish their evening. I would recommend the restaurant for the food and the service. Overall, I had an exceptional evening. Thanks.
We had three days in Puglia. Spent first and third in Bari here. Our first room was wonderful. Quite large, comfortable, with a great shower. The gym is nice for a hotel and the spa area looked relaxing. The common areas were nice for a drink. They also were nice enough to hold our luggage for 24 or more hours while we went to Lecce. Our second room was just average. Just down the hall from the first, but much smaller and pretty average looking with a so-so bathroom. I didn't make the arrangements so I'm. It sure what the difference was in price. Bari, by the way, didn't seem to have much to offer.
The room is absolutely perfect.....clean and relaxing from the min you open the door. We paid a little extra for the balcony which was worth it. The hotel lends itself to finding places of relection of calm and relaxation. The restaurant can be divided into three distinct categories i.e breakfast is everything you could want.....fresh fruit and hot breakfast together with cold meats, cheeses and cakes.....with great coffees. Lunch is great value and has a great variety of fish, meat and cheese dishes which are reasonably priced but the piece de resistance is their evening meal menu, location & staff
Ideal for a night if you need to be close to the airport. The pool area and gardens are lovely. However, I still find it incredible that people can smoke everywhere. There is no designated smoking area so be prepared to have people smoking right next to you at the tables during breakfast, lunch and dinner and especailly around the pool. We were also disappointed with the hidden coss we were not made aware of on check out - they charged us to use the pool/towels per day as an extra on top of our room rate.
The hotel itself was in a beautiful setting with gardens and wedding venues on site. The rooms were good and the breakfast buffet was excellent with different sorts of eggs cooked to order. However it was not situated in a very pleasant part of town and it took nearly 30 minutes of walking through some decidedly unpleasant areas to walk to the prom. Once there it was gorgeous but not something iI would want to do every day. Staff in the hotel were pleasant and helpful and parking was no problem
We stayed here a couple of years ago as it is much nearer to the airport, and we decided to do the same again. If anything it's even better, the new (well new to me!) pool is great and was very welcome. The staff are just as good as before. The gardens were always a little haven, and have now been improved by ingeniously turning the old pool into a pond with fantastic foundations. It's obviously a popular location for weddings etc, both times we've stayed we've stumbled upon a party in the grounds! A lovely meal in the restaurant finished the day off nicely. Our room as very big (225) and quite well appointed, I almost wished we'd booked for 2 nights.
This hotel is set in its own leafy grounds with an excellent, clean and safe open air swimming pool. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast excellent. We found the hotel restaurant to have a limited menu and, being summer, outside dining under shadecloth was encouraged which leaves you at the mercy of chain smokers who are, unfortunately, ubiquitous in Italy. You can trundle your suitcase from the station in about 20 minutes (turn right from the steps at the back of the station - the hotel is in the same street). The walk is flat but you are passing along a depressing, dilapidated and heavily graffitied street, though safe. Therein lies the problem with this hotel - location. The main attractions in Bari for the tourist are probably the old town and the seaside promenade, and it will take you about 45 minutes of walking through fairly uninteresting surroundings to get there. Of course, this criticism does not apply if you have your own car or are willing to take taxis back and forth. Reception will readily call a taxi for you and it will appear within a few minutes.
