Stayed here for one night before a cruise. The hotel is in a good location, the pool is beautiful. Our room was large and very clean. Great restaurant downstairs. Look forward to returning here again.
As I was pondering what to do and where to go on my long weekend in Italy,it can to me like a bolt of lightning. The coast of Italy on the Adriatic Sea side is some of the most beautiful land I’ve seen in my life. So I looked at Bari, Italy and its location. It was so beautiful there the sun was shining bright in the sky and there was this cool wind blowing. Finding a place to stay was on my mind as well as the location. Hotel Mercure Villa Romanazzi Carducci was by far an excellent idea. Once I got there on the grounds I didn’t want to leave because it had everything I needed. The food and the wine was second to none. So for the next four days I went site seeing and spending time at this wonderful hotel. Go to Bari, Italy and stay at this hotel you want be disappointed I assure you.....
This is great hotel for a business trip or a short relaxing stay. The swimming pool is lovely, and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. It's main downside is its location. It is literally on the wrong side of the tracks. It is next to the railway line and about 20 minutes walk into the centre of town. In particular Marco (pool man) and Gaetano were excellent hosts.
When the hotel was booked, i didnt look at location. That is why i was puzzled, when we saw a railway though the window of our superior room. Really strange for me that better rooms have such unattractive window view. After the room changing everything was good. The breakfast has the unsuaul variety of food for Italians, who prefer a cup of espresso and croissant in the morning. Also a surprise for me that hotel has a park with fountains where you can take a walk and relax near the swimming pool. You will be changed 3 EUR for for the pool towel. Free parking is an advantage if you travel by car.
My wife and I traveled from Rome to Bari and stayed 2 nights here prior to getting the ferry to Greece. I would have rated this hotel a 5 as everything was perfect......except 1 thing. The staff were terrible except the pool attendant Marco who was very attentive to everyone. The rest of the staff were ( although I can't comment on the person who cleaned the room as we never met them ) rude, surly and very chauvinistic towards women. Would I stay here again? Yes, but the Hotel needs to work very hard with their staff to ensure good customer feedback. On checking out I did let them know our thoughts and they removed a cup of coffee from our bill to compensate us!
We stayed at that hotel last year (2016) for three nights. The situation of the hotel: a 10 minites from the centre and about 10 mnites from the station. It is easily to go to the hotel from the airport-we took the train for 5 euro and its stops abot 300 metres from the hotel. The room - well furnished rooms, with good size, without balcony. The service - very good service at the restaurant and other places. The restaurant - the best breakfast, with variety of italian dishes and many typical desserts. There are and fitness and spa that is ok. The hotel is very clean.
This hotel is just outside the centre of Bari and it's surroundings and grounds are beautiful (although slightly out of place in Bari). The room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant and bar food or snacks were delicious and the pool is a gd size. A great stay overall!
This is a very good hotel, better than any other Mercure I've experienced. It's located in a sort of park about 25 minutes walk from Bari Centre (a taxi is preferable to get to town). As an Accor Platinum member I got a good upgrade to a suite, very comfortable and overlooking the hotel's good sized swimming pool. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and dinner was served on an outdoor terrace at ground floor level Food excellent and good value. After dinner it was nice to stroll around the park, and see the nearby stately home which is almost beside the hotel. No complaints at all, and a nice surprise in Bari to find this pleasant place.
Hotel staff was corteous and welcoming. Good loction and walking distance totrain station and Bari Vecchia. Breakfast was extra, but a delicious spread with many options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free diets. Beautifulwimming pool and spacious room. Excellent stay in Bari.
The Check in was quick and faultless, the staff were courteous and professional. The hotel was a good standard and clean and the facilities were good. Nice pool however there were. It enough sun loungers so we found a space on the grass. The bar was small but nice, we did not eat in the hotel. Great parking, free and plenty of spaces and the grounds were beautiful. The room was a good size, nicely furnished, has safe and refrigerator no mini bar. Great shower, large and powerful. The rooms were quiet. If this is a stop over for a night it is perfect. The only negative comment is that the hotel Is poorly situated for walking into Bari, as we were informed it was a 20 minute walk, it was about 40 minutes and having to walk though unkempt residential areas, we felt a little un-nerved even though we are used to frequently travelling around remote towns. Bari itself is easily forgotten, not a pretty as pictures depict, and we definitely would not return.
