The property was clean, tidy and had a beautiful rustic feel to it. The views from.pur superior room were stunning. Delphin, the manager, was very knowledgable, easily accessible to talk too and very helpful. The quinta is situated a 10 minute walk to the local train station and a 15 minute walk to the local supermarket. The supermarket has a small cafe area and food prices are alightly cheaper than in the UK. Cafes and restaurants however are cheaper than in the UK and they have very generous portions! Me and my partner found the quinta utswlf and the surrounding area to be very peaceful and relaxing - If this is what you're looking for in a holiday I would highly recommend staying at Quinta de Malta!

A beautiful family villa tucked in the hills. If you want to get away from it all, a lovely little place to go. You will need a car to go offsite for dinner but a lovely pocket from a different time.

We stayed here for two nights to attend a wedding in the vicinity. This is a beautiful, traditional property that has been kept in a fantastic condition. The team of staff here offer brilliant service and nothing is too much trouble for them.

We had a wonderful stay at this historic manor house. It had been beautifully restored by the owners. Our room provided charm and enough room for our luggage an to walk around comfortably. The property manager, Katrina, was a marvel. She answered all of our questions and knew everything about the area. She was very gracious and made our stay. She is a treasure. We loved meeting other travelers staying at the Quinta. Two vibrant couples were from England and another delightful couple was from France. We had a marvelous time with them in the evening chatting into the night by the barbeque and at breakfast. We stayed two nights. The lovely pool really made the this a resort. We'd happily return to spend a week or more.

Peaceful country elegance

The grounds were lovely and perfect for strolling and enjoying the views, and the fruit from the citrus trees was delicious. The accommodations welcomed us each day with comfort and casual elegance. The service was outstanding in all respects - breakfast was great, and Catarina was available for everything we needed, including a delicious dinner. An unbelievable value - we only wish we could have stayed longer.

Very happily stay again

A delightful property. Very well presented in lovely gardens and rural surroundings. Large pool area with lawn. Tennis court and other amenities. There is a restaurant about 2 km away called Sol Doce. Just good honest home style cooking at reasonable prices.

A beautiful rural Quinta

Just 10 mins walk from Durraes railway halt this is a beautiful calm place to stay. The views are amazing - walking distance is a bar and supermarket - bit further away a superb restaurant 'Doce Sol' So car is not essential for those who enjoy walking. The elderly owners don't speak English though so this could be a problem. Breakfast was excellent with fresh figs and kiwis served from their grounds.

Beautiful and quiet

Beautiful and quiet retreat among traditional Portuguese villages-nice open pool and lovely fruit trees & grape wines. Nice big comfy room with regrettably crammed bathroom. Fresh OJ instead of old packaged version we had would be much nicer considering the location. Overall, it was a fabulous experience.

Emplacement au calme dans la nature entourée d arbres fruitiers et vigne...belle piscine bien entretenue ... très beau panorama , petit déjeuner très bien mais qu une variété de pain un peu dommage...un painde segle ou céréales aurait été parfait Le patron très gentil et a l écoute . Attention a la décoration et particulièrement a un tableau dans la chambre qui mets plus la chair de poule qu il n est beau...j ai du le decrocher tellement il m a mis mal a l aise ...sinon très bien
