The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach and the Gothic Quarter. The room was clean. One bed was extremely uncomfortable, the other two were not bad. The most amazing thing about this place is the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I can truly say they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

The room was extremely hot, the small fan provided was inadequate. The bathroom smelt moldy and the shower curtain wasn't clean. The staff was very nice and helpful, front desk as well as cleaning staff. In addition it was nice having a kitchenette.

For the summer months, get a room on the 2nd floor and above (1st floor doesn’t have A/C, according to the staff). We were on the top floor and the A/C was a life saver in the heatwave. The staff were the highlight for this review, they were incredible. They were incredibly helpful when the A/C wasn’t immediately working in the room and were accommodating throughout our stay regarding flat irons, laundry etc. My only knocks on the facility is the walls and doors are incredibly thin, so you can hear everything going on in the hallway and adjoining rooms. So being a white noise machine or ear plugs. Last knock is secondary to the first knock, and that’s the construction of the 6th floor. The construction noise was loud, and the thin walls/doors didn’t help. And the floors were constantly dusty, so that was a bit grimy. Overall, this was a solid stay and I’m happy with the facility.

This is a well located hostel style accommodation in central Barcelona with buses, trams and metro all nearby. The room is basic but spacious and private bathroom is clean. My room had no air con , only a tower fan, which in honesty was not enough for the stifling summer heat so i try not to stay in the room for too long. It won't be for everyone especially those who cannot tolerate heat or the elderly. My biggest issue is the inconsistency in service by reception staff. Most of them are polite and helpful, except one extremely rude overweight man who works evening shifts, who questioned me why i was asking for extra shampoo and toilet rolls. It was in the evening and I was tired so did not want to start an argument but normally such people would not have a job after such disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour to a customer. I have reported this to reception - to management: get rid of him he is ruining the decent service the rest of the team gives.

Estancia buena

Puntos a favor: 1.
