Went on a stag party with 25 other boys. The hotel didn't say anything (we are a nice group) however we was maybe the only stag to have been there ever. The hotel is outside city centre. About an hours walk. But a 5 min cab ride. It's a 5 min walk from the beach. I think it's a great place to stay if going Barca as you are away enough from city centre if you fancy a quiet walk around local streets. The pool on roof we didn't use as it was too small for us. But perfect for a couple holiday. The staff were brilliant. Rooms were really good!! Basic but clean and tidy.
It was a average hotel. I liked that it was relatively close to the beach. About 5 minute walk. And 5 minute to walk to nearest metro station. So it is easy to go to city sentrum. Nice and quiet surroundings. Our biggest challenge was that it is very few outlets for charging various devices. And no outlet close to the bed.
The lobby, and the outside is decorated to a 4*+ standard, however the rooms are not. The rooms are quite dated, and in need of a spruce up to match the standards of the rest of the hotel, in particularly the bathrooms, the beds were also not great, and gave my partner a bad back. The walls are thin, and could hear a lot from other guests, but was bearable for a short trip. The pool is tiny, but wasn't a problem as we weren't there for that. We tried room service on one night, which was awful! frozen tasteless food, which was quite frankly overpriced for what it actually was. However the staff are friendly and accommodating which made up for all of this! The location is the best thing, just a 5 minute walk from the beautiful beach, and less than 10 minute walk from a great shopping centre called 'Diagonal Mar' with loads of shops and nice restaurants, where we ate most nights, and there is also a supermarket next door to the hotel which was very handy. We took a cab to and from the centre of Barcelona which cost between 8-10 euros, and was a short journey. Overall the experience in the hotel was very average, but the location was key and made the trip worthwhile!
This was a very nice hotel, excellent bedrooms and en suite, with the added bonus of a small roof top swimming pool. or the size of the hotel and groups of people the pool side was not big enough to accommodate large numbers as there were not enough sunbeds and area to lay down towels. Short walk to the beach. Side walk cafes, supermarket, pharmacy close by.
Loved the hotel.. Very clean.. Ultra modern with the bidets in the bathrooms.. Nice touch.. The continental breakfast in the morning was well worth the cost.. Enjoyed every moment of my stay.. Would recommend to my friends
I don't believe there is a decent hotel in Barcelona that is not expensive, so no complaining about price. I loved the place. It was very clean, staff were pleasant and it had everything we required. Short walk to the beaches, short walk to the metro and in a nice quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are clean, the lounge serves drinks and decent food at a good price. The beds are hard but I find that typically the case in Europe. It is what it is. Aside from them it would have been a nice spot! Overall, no problem and I would stay here again!
We stayed here recently booking two rooms, unfortunately we booked an upgraded double room and a regular room with twin beds and were given twin beds in the upgraded room and a double in the regular room, we did ask on the day of arrival for this to be rectified, but it never was. The rooms themselves are a bit dull in desperate need of brightening up. The hotel is well situated for the beach and Metro stop and has many bars and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk from it, you can also walk for the same time to a very nice shopping mall at Diagonal Mar which also has many eateries in it. We didn't use the hotel for food deeming the €15 for breakfast a bit steep. Don't be fooled by the claims of a roof top swimming pool as the pool is no more than 10 meters long at max and if you aren't one of the first 6 up there you won't get a sun bed, you can however sit at tables with sun shades but you can't get a drink as the bar isn't functioning or at least wasn't when we stayed. Room cleaning was good and done daily with fresh towels etc.
I personally think that in every hotel the bed plays a key role. I am sorry to say that here such important "parameter" did not meet my expectations for a 4 stars hotel. The position is well served with metro line 4, breakfast was fine, common spaces as well.
I stayed here in the last week for a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. On arrival, the gentleman who checked us in was unfriendly, short with me and didn't smile once! This is not a good first impression for a four star hotel! We were also supposed to receive a welcome drink on arrival...we never got that. We got two bottles of water in the room which were complimentary..I don't know if that was the welcome drink...but usually you expect sparking wine or something...not water! We arrived late so had a drink at the bar and headed up to bed. The barman was friendly and made great cocktails so that was a plus! I was then rudely awoken by someone banging and crashing in the room next to me and then a hoover being switched on outside our door. This was about 8am!!! I know the cleaners have to clean but I've never had a cleaner wake me up at that time in all the hotels I have ever stayed in. Rooms are clearly not soundproofed. Not good when you are trying to have a relaxing break! We headed up to the pool around 11. The loungers were already taken,,,which is unsurprising considering they only have 6. They should definitely have a few more...the decking has got space for it. I waited a long time at the desk to ask for anything..they should definitely have more staff. Also my boyfriend complained that the coffee was decaff and the milk was not replenished on the second morning, In the end we went to the supermarket and bought our own. Its only round the corner. As for buffet breakfast we didn't have that and there are many places around the hotel and towards the beach who do nice breakfast for a lot cheaper than 15 euros! The pros of the hotel are that it was cleaned nicely every day, and is in a good location for the beach. There is definitely room for improvement though.
Unfortunately I was unwell and spent 4 straight days in the room with the airconditioning being centrally controlled, which meant it was boiling during the day. Staff in the restaurant were friendly with the exception of what seemed to be the cook covering the lunch hour. He served pots of sauses that had been either been used or were empty and didn't like being asked to replace them.. walls are very thin and could hear everything from the room next door. Pool is quite nice but tiny and there are very limited sunbed (i.e about 6) Hotel good value for the price, shower and hairdryer good but cleanliness of the room wasn't great. Good location with the beach within 10 minute walk. Also close to metro and good shopping centre.
