We stayed at this hotel three nights. The first day, we noticed the toilet in the room wasn't working and we informed the reception who promised to take care of it. Three days and many reminders later, the toilet has not been fixed. Not only is it a simple fix as it only requires some parts that can be temporarily taken form any other of the hotel rooms, but being promised repeatedly it would be taken care of says a lot about the hotel's lack of commitment to its guests.
The hotel has a good location and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. But the ventilation sister is very noisy - noisy enough to disturb your sleep. The balcony was completely covered in glass and unfortunately there was no other way to ventilate the room. The bathroom had mold around the bathtube and the toilet reservoir has been broken for our entire 9 day visit. The bathroom door wouldn't close at all so we had to be very careful not to walk in on each other. I was a little disappointed and I would not return to this location again
We had a great deal through Booking.com and had a fantastic Executive room for four nights. The room was really spacious, very clean and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was always well laid out with a good variety of choices. The staff was very friendly with a lovely lobby area and two lifts to all floors. It was only a 10 minute walk to the metro and for two days we had the tour bus which stopped across the road. We arrived late so we got a cab from the airport which was €30, on the way back we went by metro into terminal 2 which was €4.30 each, so both worked well for us. We was out exploring Barcelona each day and had our meals wherever we were, however there are bars and restaurants all within walking distance from the hotel.
We stayed in a junior suite which accommodated 4 people. There were two sofa beds, which were surprisingly comfortable! The rooms were spotless and spacious. The reception area seemed recently renovated and had a minimal feel. There were 4 restaurants just around the hotel, which were great. The breakfast was lovely, Juan gave such exceptional customer service, thanks so much! The location is good. It is around a 10-minute walk from the closest metro station which was 'Hospital'. Within walkable distance of Casa Batllo and Casa Mila too!
Nice hotel placed in good location! We spent 4 nights there and can not say anything bad. Few bars just the corners, nice atmoshpere to have fun and enjoy evening after daylight trip in Barcelona. Room was big enough to feel comfortable
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in April for my 30th birthday... The hotel is really clean and the rooms are really spacious. The beds are big and comfy too. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels changed twice in the four days we were there. Breakfast was good with a selection of pastries and your standard continental meats, cheeses etc, there wasn't a huge amount to choose from but it was good quality. There was only one staff member working at breakfast which at times struggled to serve everyone however he worked extremely hard and always greeted us with a friendly smile and asked us if we would like coffee and eggs. The location is good and the open top tour bus has a stop right outside the hotel which is convenient and easy. The hotel isn't too far from the main road which has plenty of restaurants and bars, there is also a taxi rank opposite the hotel however taxis are easy to get as you can flag them down if they are empty. The hotel is nice and quite and has a closed balcony which makes a huge difference to the busy road down below, I'd definitely stop here again!
Rather good location, not far from the city center, big room with nice balcony. Metro station is in 10 minutes by walk. A few nice restaurants are close to the hotel. Only two suggestions for improvement: to replenish tea/coffee bags (during the stay only one time were replenished), receptionist was not aware of main attractions working hours/schedule changes and that's why gave the wrong info.
While staff are nice, but the rooms were very standard, considering the allegation of four stars. Breakfast was a marathon for the cook/waiter/washer/customer service one man. We called him 'The Super Man' he is by himself, washing, preparing coffee, washing dishes, making coffee, making your liked eggs. We salute him, but felt sorry for him. I felt like going to help him. So the service was some what below average. The breakfast had very limited variety.
This hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from Hospital Clinic and Diagonal Station (but make sure you know the short cuts!). There was 12 in our group & the hotel kindly upgraded our 3 rooms to their superior ones. It was my birthday & the staff went out of their way to make it so special- they bought in a cake especially for our group. Big thanks to Sheshen & Omar - they were amazing! The rooms were a great size with a partition for the children. They were modern, clean and we had a lovely view. We were upgraded so it's worth asking. This hotel is great value for money considering its location, the rooms and quality. Would love to go back!
This hotel apartment was everything and more!!! We were on the very top floor and and a great view of the other old style buildings around us. The floor to ceiling windows brought in amazing light every morning. The rooms were spacious enough for 4 people sharing. The room was nicely furnished and was very comfortable. The restaurants and mini market around made it easy to step out to grab something to eat. This place is central to all major places and transport was breeze which made it easy to travel around at any time of day or night. Coming home to sleep here was a joy for those 5 days. Highly recommend this hotel.
