Helpful reception, friendly all the stuff, nice buffet breakfast, the room very tidy and clean every single days, good wifi connection, free parking. Just the bed is not really comfortable. Overall well organization 👍🏻
Well for every pretty daughter, there is always an ugly one. This might be the one. First very hard to find being there is an almost exactly named place adjacent to it. What??? Anyway we made it there and then encountered the nastiest, dumbest 'security guard?' you can imagine. We actually almost went "Mano a mank" but the wife talked me out if it fearing our car would conincidently be vandalized. So, with discretion, I reported him to the front desk for whatever good that did. Anyone no other highlights. Nice supermarket up the block came in handy fir our journey.
I'm not sure how this hotel can be classified as a 4 star. The room was simple and somewhat barren; nothing special. There was a small TV, safe, hair dryer. The beds were rock hard. The shower had great water pressure but had to be careful not to touch the walls with all the mould. Somehow we ended up in a smoking room the first night. Because it didn't smell bad, we thought it would be ok. We were wrong - as soon as other people started smoking, it wafted directly into our room either through the AC or crack in the door. The staff were great and moved us to a non smoking room, which was so much better! The location is about a 25 min drive to the city center, if there's no traffic . It's right next to a large mall with a movie theatre. Easy access to highway. The price was right and the staff were friendly, but probably wouldn't stay here again.
The room was clean, receptionists were always helpful and quite friendly and spoke good English which was great (as we're tourists from England). However, this hotel is not ideal for tourists at all as it is located very far from the train station and even if you wanted to walk to the train station you could not as it is located off a motorway. Because of this, we had to take a taxi to the train station everyday which became very expensive! Overall, I would not say the hotel is 4 stars as it does not even have a pool, or balcony and the decor is very old fashioned and the location is not ideal for people. The only good thing was that there was a local shopping mall 5 minutes away from the hotel, followed by stares from locals as they knew we weren't from Spain.
So we booked the hotel pretty last minute and paid over the odds as we were lucky enough to get tickets for the Formula 1. Location is easy from the airport (around 30mins) and to the circuit (around 10 mins even on race day). We hired a car to get to and from the airport as there is no public transport, but taxis to and from the track cost between €25 and €30 each way from the hotel. Beware of Barcelona traffic, took us over an hour to get back to the airport on Monday morning; there was a train strike, so I'm sure that didn't help. Right next to a large commercial centre, so ideal for some shopping and some nice restaurants....all you can eat sushi was ace! Hotel itself is pretty run down; reception is nice enough and staff were friendly, breakfast was also pretty decent, but the rooms are showing their age. First room smelled so badly of smoke, we didn't even get through the door (non-smoking floor), reception moved us to another room no problem, but still had a nasty smell. Soon determined this probably wasn't just smoke, but also musty old curtains and polish, on top of unaired rooms. Having said that, the bed was super comfy, all new fresh linens and the room was clean. So, would I stay there again, probably, as it's any easy run into Barcelona and to the track, not the best hotel I've stayed in, but by no means the worst!
Booked 3 rooms here for a business trip. Pretty quick and standard check in after finally finding the hotel. Its quite easy to get to it but if you miss the entrance then you are on a one way system and off you go for another tour of the area. I imagine parking can get pretty hectic if the hotel fills up, its not big and luckily a lot of the rooms appear to be coach parties visiting Barcelona so cuts down on what would have been cars parked overnight. As we arrived around 9pm, choice of eating was either go out and about again or eat at the bar. Not a fantastic choice but what we had was okay for the price. Yu are near a large shopping centre but not sure opening times or if it is only shops as could have walked over there. Quite a lot of choice for breakfast, hot and cold, so unless you are really picky there should be plenty of things to choose from to get your day started. Rooms were large and clean, usual items to be found in the rooms and for a one stop business night it ticked all our boxes and at a reasonable price.
The rooms are bright, roomy and tidy and the staff are helpful. The Baricentro mall is nearby with services and shops. The many restaurants in the south end of the mall are open till the wee hours. Study the map to locate the Barbera de Valles railway station a short walk away. Trains to Barcelona centre take about 20-25 minutes. Get off at the Campo de Mars for the zoo and harbour within walking distance.
This hotel is situated conveniently for the job I have to do in the area. It has a modern style but felt a little sterile with not much character. However, this is the only niggle. The room was clean airy. The windows were a little drafty and tended to let some of the traffic noise in. The hotel is situated close to quite busy roads and so it's not the quietest of places to stay. The breakfast buffet is ok and passable, not the best I've tasted but acceptable. There was no restaurant service but the hotel is situated very close to a shopping mall which has a number of restaurants . All in all, a pleasant hotel and satisfactory for my needs.
Clean hotel with pleasant and friendly staff... But it lacked any facilities like a gym. Breakfast at the hotel is very basic, although a shopping mall is a short walk away, but that does not open until 10am Rooms are clean, but no English speaking TV channels. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Barcelona and is costly to take a taxi there from the airport e45. The nearest rail station is a 35 min walk away. The hotel should have provided a shuttle service to the station instead of guest having to pay e10 for a taxi.
Nice hotel with huge rooms. I asked for a quiet room and I was given the one in the very end of the corridor on the 5th floor, it was just perfect! Just one tiny remark , towels need to be renewed. Nice breakfast also. Nice place for a stop over or if you just want to get away from the nosy and crowded town.
