DO NOT STAY HERE OR WITH SH BARCELONA
The property was misrepresented in its listing and failed to meet even basic expectations of functionality and cleanliness. What follows is a detailed account of our experience and the basis for my refund request. After paying such a large sum, I anticipated a far superior accommodation. This amount reflects the full amount paid for a stay that was unacceptable from start to finish.All communication had to occur via WhatsApp text. This caused considerable delays - sometimes several hours - before we received responses to urgent questions or service requests. This method of communication was insufficient, especially when we were dealing with time-sensitive issues related to our comfort and the condition of the property.One of the fans provided in the unit was not functional for the first two days, which left us uncomfortable in the summer heat. This is basic equipment that should have been checked and operational before our arrival.The bathroom presented on the VRBO listing was entirely misleading. The advertised features were missing or broken:o The towel rack was completely gone.o The shower head was cracked, causing water to spray out uncontrollably/flood the floor every time we used it.oThe bathroom was filled with mold, especially along the shower groutingI was assured that a technician would be sent out the same day, but repairs were not made; no follow up from the host.
