Amazing! I ve just returned from a wonderful weekend last month in Barcelona and I recommend this hotel for everyone. It was a great pleasure to stay there! The food was ok, the comfort was very good!
Glad we found this hotel. Location was good, walking distance to most tourist attractions and a little further to the beach. A stones throw from the metro station, so it was easy to get around. Staff were helpful during our short stay. The rooms were bigger and better than expected for a city break. They were modern, clean and spacious. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on a future trip to Barcelona.

booked in for 1 night before cruise. nice modern clean room. excellent shower only negative was air con couldnt cool room down. good location not far from port or other attractions. would use again. reception staff spoke good english and were very helpful couldnt fault.
4 night stay in Barcelona - we booked last minute so had to opt for a 3* hotel due to prices rising close to the date, but we need not have worried because Auto Hogar was great. Good customer service, lovely clean rooms and bathrooms and a balcony! fab! nothing fancy, just a good clean space to rest in between sight seeing. Brilliant location, right next to the Parallel Metro station which connects you to the whole city (recommend getting a 10 journey ticket) The WIFI in our room was fast which was great as we weren't expecting it to be on the 5th floor, and the room had a free safe to use for valuables which is always much appreciated - only downsides are that the breakfasts are just basic/standard continental (not bad for what you pay) and the coffee/tea/milk was never replenished in the room after first use. It can also be noisy with traffic on the night if you're a light sleeper so it's down to a question of what you can personally accept. The TV only had BBC World news in english - but who goes to Barcelona to watch TV? Thanks!
Everything was okay about the hotel except the fact it is noisy and the views may not be the best. I am a deep sleeper and I was kept awake by the noise at some parts of the night. Pros of the hotel - shower, bathroom, bed, sofa and the blackout curtains. Cons - the view of my room, the fact the tv was dropping out of signal and the poor lighting in the bedroom itself. There are no ceiling lights. After that the hotel was in a great location to la rambla and paral-lel train station. The house keeping service was good and so was customer service.
There was nothing wrong in my room, but there was nothing specially good. I almost put 4 stars, but because of the noise, I reduced it to 3. Bed was comfy, there was a fridge in a room. Good shower and so on. I think it was a bit expensive, but I guess Barcelona is. Location was great, walking distance to La Rambla and sea. I didn't have breakfast in a hotel.
The corridor didn't seem very clean, guess they don't have enough space, the housekeeping have to sort out dirty and clean stuff outside the lift. The room has a very small window so a bit dark, the bathroom is big enough, but lack of shelf or table to put stuff. There is a safe and mini fridge but no minibar. Bed is rather comfy. The shower had blockage so the water didn't go away (one of the most important parts of a shower). Offered soap, shampoo, shower gel and dental pack, not the best quality obviously. One morning was being woken up from loud banging noise upstairs. Front desk staff are not super friendly in general. Just stating the facts, it is only a 3-star hotel in the end. It is a lively area and you can find supermarket, pharmacy, bar and restaurant nearby. Don't think I will stay again if it's for business.
Check-in was painfully slow. There were three men (one obviously a trainee) and a woman behind the desk. Two men were discussing the previous day's Madrid/Barcelona match whilst the lady did all the work and the trainee observed. Meanwhile, guests had to wait to check-in. There were three of us waiting in line. This was not a great first impression. The hotel rooms are accessed by walking across a covered car park to a lift in another wing. The room itself was clean and bright and I was pleased to find air-conditioning too. However, no free bottled water or tissues were provided. These are essentials and at close to £150.00 per night, they are expected. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast were very happy and friendly. The hot breakfast offerings, at 09.30hrs, however, were dried out and cold. Also, I had Sugar Puffs cereal, which was stale - soft and chewy. The location is good, within walking distance of several key areas of interest in Barcelona.
