This hotel is well situated. It is clean and the staff are very helpful. Breakfasts are good. Their restaurant is excellent with a good choice of food. Only suggestion they could have tea and coffee in the rooms.
Stayed prior to cruise. Location good not far from Las Ramblas however very noisy at night from clubs opposite then early from building works opposite. Thankfully only 2 nights of no sleep. Will not be back
This is the second time we have stayed here(last was 2014).....the Hotel did not disappoint us. Still the same warm, friendly, helpful staff. Our room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfy. The Breakfast has wide variety of foods....cheeses, eggs, breads, meats, fruits, veggies....coffee, tea, juices and pastries. The Hotel is close to all you need to enjoy your visit in Barcelona - Metro, Tourist Information, La Rambla.... There are lunch and dinner options close to the Hotel. Felt safe both during the day and evening. We would stay here again!
Stayed with my husband in a double room, which was actually 2 singles pushed together. The beds were fairly comfortable with clean bedding. The bathroom was large and overall the whole room was clean with decent furniture. The room also had a small fridge which I wasn't expecting but was happy we had. We didn't have much of a view over the back of the hotel but it was quiet so we both slept pretty well. We arrived at the hotel at 11am and our room was ready. The hotel is ideally located for the Metro, Las Ramblas and the port where we picked up the hop on, hop off bus. Attached to the hotel is a cafe/restaurant where we ate 3 times and the food was pretty decent with good wine. The waiter also gave us a complimentary bottle of cava on two occasions which was great! Breakfast was a bit of a let down though, the hot selection wasn't very hot and soon went cold as the plates weren't warm, the continental choices were fairly varied. Overall we had a decent stay and for the price we paid it was ok value.
Good points : The car park was nice and cheap. The hotel has a good location next to the metro station. The bad points : -The bed was not comfortable at all. - We found spots on our bed’s sheets. - The fire detector was filled with tissues( certainly by some previous occupants who wanted to smoke on the balcony, but I think the hostel should check the fire security system ). - the air conditioning was not working properly, it was hot in the room and it was noisy: two bips every 30 seconds ( worst than a torture experiment!) - the view from our first floor room was on the streets and extremely noisy, bus, cars and etc on the evening and after during the night some drunk people yelling... When we checked out, I talked to the staff about our horrible night: they didn’t say anything and didn’t care, that’s why I wrote this review. For finish : ask for a room with indoor view and pray for not having other issue. If it is not, run from the hotel, it doesn’t worth your money.
Located right next to a metro station, so ideal for those that are exploring the city by public transportation. The lobby was lackluster, but efficient with a spacious sitting area to the side. Staff at the front desk spoke limited English, but was enough to get me checked in without much problem. The room was actually located in their "annex" building in the back, which meant I had to walk through the parking garage every time I entered and left the premises. Since the room was set back, the views were limited, but on the plus side I didn't hear any traffic noises coming from the street outside other reviewers have complained about. A weird thing I noticed was that because of the layout of the room the window opened out into an open area which would be the third-floor ceiling with a guardrail at the edge of the building. In a way, you have a makeshift balcony here if you're willing to step out through the window, but I doubt the hotel staff will be too thrilled about this. The room itself was average and judging from the single twin-ish size bed in there good for solo travelers. Speaking of the bed, it was a bit on the stiff side, but I managed to sleep on it fairly well. The TV reception was shaky, so each channel was a hit or miss. The AC worked okay, so that was good. Overall a good hotel. Nothing really stood out, but for the price I paid it was fine.
1. No hot drink facility in the rooms. I'm not even a hot drinking person and I find it unusual 2. The air con sounds like a machine making something but struggles. 3. The mini-bar is empty except for two diet coke cans. It's also set at the lowest temp. 4. I had a night in and wanted a wine opener. Turns out they only have ONE in the entire building so I had to go back downstairs in the creaky elevator. The positives: 1. Right by the metro at parallel 2. Their WiFi. Would I stay here again? Noooo.. .
I chose this hotel because I thought you could walk to the cruise port in a short amount of time. We decided to take a taxi that cost us about 14 euros. It was hot and humid and the walk would've taken us 45 minutes at least. One good thing was that the public transportation to see the Sangria Familia was nearby.
Stayed here for a weekend. Friendly English speaking staff, good breakfast, decent location, ideal for the underground. The road it was on was extremely busy but we all got a good nights sleep. Was in a safe location
We stayed for 3 nights 25 to 27 July 2017. Location is excellent. Took 2 rooms. Good Quality & Muslim food & supermarkets available easily in near vicinity. Bus station very close. Nice wooden flooring in rooms. Breakfast having variety of food. Staff helping & cooperative. My family liked it too.
