Although I am not impressed it was not very bad. Room was clean, breakfast is ok, location is perfect. First night I was freezing and they didn’t have extra blankets in the room. But it was sorted next day. Reception is quite nice but waiters can be rude. Especially those downstairs. Every evening before go to room we stayed at the restaurant for a couple of drinks. Staff were not happy with that as we didn’t order mains, maybe they have different reason for showing their attitude that was far from perfect. I don’t think I would come back

This hotel was OK - nothing more. Staff nice except woman who ruthlessly chucks you out of breakfast room! The road itself (El Parallel) is a bit grubby though it’s only down a narrow street to La Rambla. Have stayed in Barcelona a few times & always near it on La Rambla, so next time will try further uphill near the main square.

stayed one night, lovely room, superb bathroom and the staff were very helpful and so nice, their was eight of us in our party and we arrived very early in the morning, the staff sorted out rooms for us right away so we could go in and spend the rest of the day sight seeing

Stayed one night before boarding a cruise leaving from Port Barcelona. I wasn’t expecting much for the money but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a short walk from port Barcelona. This was the primary reason I booked the hotel. Very clean modern hotel with restaurant. Great room with 2 bedrooms. Both rooms had a god size tv. Room also had a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. Staff were very friendly and efficient The included breakfast was excellent, with a good mixture of hot and cold food and even included complimentary champagne and all for the poultry sum of €78 for two people for one night. Bargain. Highly recommended

Really loved this hotel I thought we’d found a real Gem in a great location right near the famous Magic Fountain. Bright, modern clean. Room size was not massive but certainly big enough. I was shocked to find a kettle provided and a fridge in the room. The problem came when we tried to sleep. We had a room at the front of the hotel and basically no chance of much sleep. A very busy road all night. The dustbins in the street were emptied about 1.30. A couple of hours later there was a delivery, people shouting etc. We had breakfast included in our stay and this was fabulous. A great choice of hot and cold food buffet style. Overall a great hotel if you don’t mind noise or are lucky enough to get a back room. Please note we did request a quiet room.

Stayed in this hotel a couple of weeks ago. The hotel was nice and clean, about a 20-25 minute walk to Las Ramblas.... If you are keen walkers then it is great as you can see many sites along the way. The room we were in was extremely small and had one small window, however, the window that we had opened into the inside of the hotel with a glass roof so it didn't have any air flow going through it. The room was extremely hot and because we were only there for 3 nights we didn't bother complaining, had we been there for longer I would have requested a different room. We saw an air conditioning unit and tried to have that on but it blew out hot air. So we ended up sleeping without the cover on. The breakfast was basic but worked for us. The most important part of any hotel is that it is clean and the hotel was very clean. There is a jacuzzi to use but it is 10 euros to use so we didn't bother using it. All in all, i would rate this a *3 star purely because i feel because we booked through last minute they just put us in the cheapest and smallest room available. The staff were lovely and very helpful!

The location of this hotel is great. Easy to get around by foot, bus and metro. Lots of shops nearby so very convenient. The hotel itself is split in to two sections. We were in the second building, a short walk from reception through a car park. The room was hit and miss. The pros for me were it was a decent size, had a balcony, decent bathroom, fridge, locker, clean. The cons were the room was very very cold and it stank! Two double beds pushed together, lots of noise from outside. On the hole I would not stay at this hotel again.

I loved being at Auto Hogar because is close to the Ramblas, and de Port (harbour). Is comfortable and clean, the rooms and the bathroom have a good space. There is a restaurant very good to have the main meals. They offer champagne in the breakfast :)

Hotel is a modern hotel just 5 minute walk from the famous Ramblas. We were given a superior room on the first floor which had a balcony overlooking the road in front, all very nice but ridiculously noisy. It was a very good room, plenty of space but every sound transmitted into the room, hotel would have happily moved us but we were only staying 2 nights and couldn't be having with repacking. Room had free wi-fi and also kettle with tea and coffee.

A great location for anyone to stay, next to the Ramble, a few metro stops away from most tourist locations, highly recommended for couples, groups & families. Gothic Quarter, Sangrada Familia & the market/food outlets La Boqueria are a must to see.
