The staff and manager are very nice, friendly, helpful, and professional. It’s beyond our expectations. We wish we should have stayed longer than we did in Portland. Only small issue of missing 1 day of room service but they apologized and fixed it.

Kimball Terrace is a 20-minute drive from the Bar Harbor waterfront, through Acacia National Park. It has its own little waterfront, a gift shop, and a surprisingly good restaurant and bar. It is an old motor inn, but is clean and well-maintained. Rooms are basic. Our only complaint is that our room had double beds, instead of queen, and that the old inner-spring mattresses were really uncomfortable.

I would rate this place with 5 stars but it’s lacking in having a simple coffee maker. Every guest who wants coffee/tea must walk to the front desk. Otherwise, the view of the harbor is just magnificent!
