Welcome to Howling Rock – A Mountain Retreat located in Seven Devils, NC.

Escape to the Blue Ridge Mountains in this spacious 4-bedroom retreat with additional sleeping space for up to 12 guests and 3.5 bathrooms. Designed for families and friends, the home offers comfortable gathering spaces, unparalleled views of Grandfather Mountain, and plenty of entertainment for every season.

The main level features a king primary suite with deck access and a private ensuite bath, plus a cozy living room with a floor-to-ceiling stone gas fireplace, large TV, and expansive windows overlooking the mountains. The well-equipped kitchen offers granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, with dining for 8–9 at the table and three additional seats at the island. A half bath and washer/dryer are also conveniently located on this level.
Upstairs, you'll find a king bedroom with a Juliet balcony and a queen bedroom, both with TVs and ceiling fans, sharing a full bath located in the hallway. The loft is a favorite gathering spot, featuring a pool table, arcade console, checkers/chess table, seating, and games.
The lower level offers another king bedroom with deck access and a private ensuite bath, along with a spacious common area featuring a sleeper sofa, two convertible Murphy beds, a double pull-down Murphy bed, large TV, and kitchenette with refrigerator, Keurig, and microwave.
Step outside to enjoy year-round views of Grandfather Mountain from both decks. The main-level deck features a covered hot tub, comfortable seating, uncovered gas grill, picnic table, and rocking chairs, while the lower deck offers another picnic table.

Whether you're soaking in the hot tub, gathering around the fireplace, playing games in the loft, or simply enjoying the mountain scenery, this Seven Devils retreat is the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and make lasting memories.

Explore our beautiful area, but help us keep it beautiful! 7 minute drive to Otter Falls hiking trail. 10 minute drive to Hawksnest Adventures Snow tubing and zip lines, and Grandfather vineyard & Winery. 20 Minute drive to downtown Banner Elk, Sugar Ski Resort, and the Alpine Coaster. 27 minutes to downtown Boone, less than 20 minutes to the Valle Crucis community park and Historic Mast General Store and Candy Store, and the Tanawah Trail Parking area.

Important Notes:
- This home is pet friendly and allows up to one (1) 40lb dog only per reservation. Pet rent is $25 per night + tax.
- This home is accessed by a steep, paved driveway. AWD or 4WD vehicles are required in winter months (November through April) and chains may be necessary to access the home in times of snow or ice. Please plan accordingly!
- All BRMR homes offer kitchens stocked with all utensils, dishware and cookware needed to cook and enjoy meals. There is also a "starter set" of other essentials including a roll of paper towels, a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. Towels and linens will be provided for you. Please plan to bring any food or pantry items you wish to use.
- There are two exterior security cameras mounted to the outside of the home overlooking the driveway and parking area for monitoring when the home is not occupied. There are no other cameras on the premises.
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
