My family of 5 stayed for three days (kids ages 2, 5, 10). Even better than described online.. When you have time to take it all in you can see that every piece of furniture, every decoration, every fixure, was picked with intention and purpose. It all comes together beautifully. The Yurt was cozy and inviting and comfortable. The host Melissa really thought of everything and then some.
The kids enjoyed playing outside and walking by the Medina River. We even saw deer on our walk.
The grill was awesome. We made steak and veggies one night, cooked bacon on it another. So good!
The hot tub was hot when we arrived and stayed hot the entire time.
The temps dropped down into lower 30s outside and definitely gets cold inside overnight. I suggest bringing slippers. Blankets and jackets worked fine until the sun came out.
The town offers so much for families. The Natural history museum was a big hit. The general store for ice cream and OTS for breakfast. We even managed some time to play at the city park. We found everything we needed at Lowe's to cook meals and grill. Just a charming western town.
The kids begged for us to stay longer. They asked if this can be a new tradition, visiting the Yurt every winter break.
Being here was a glamping dream. It was so perfect. Exactly what our family needed to relax, unwind, unplug, and make new memories together.
