Our kids love the water park. The room is huge but needs more maintenance for the bathroom and aircon. Breakfast was limited and not good tasting. There were some amusement activities at the beach but they don't look safe and well managed. Reception service was no good. Super long wait.

Horrible resort ! Horrible management ! Don’t bring groups there! Threatened u! Forced u to pay full ! Why? Cos if they flopped or food went wrong n room goes wrong they will not refund u! Not a Professional hotelier management ! I tot I was in India when we were there ! It’s all Indian staffs! Heard management are Indians. So managed the Indian way!

Hotel was decent with spacious room. But of course it comes with a price tag. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment through Agoda and were bumped out nearer the date by the hotel saying they were over booked! Alternative hotels nearby were given to us but we rejected and so we upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment almost double the price. Rooms are clean, conditions abit old. Comfortable stay. Very huge bathroom. The beach has lots of oil stains...my pink slippers were stained with the oil and it can only be removed by itself by walking on the beaches. Let the sands and sea water do the cleaning job. If you drive, there are restaurants nearby the jetty which has great food! About 30 mins drive. And it's quite reasonable. Their specialities are lobsters. Will definitely come back for the food! 😁

Check-In 5pm, Friday 20th April 2018 Family of 4; 2 adults & 2 kids (3 & 5-yr olds) We drove from Singapore thru Woodlands Checkpoint, which took about 1.5 hours. That includes a stopover for quick drinks. We took the Ulu Tiram route & linked up north into Senai-Desaru highway. From there, it was a straight road thru the epic bridge into Desaru. There were no shops outside the resort. Security was strict as we approached the main entrance. After declaring our stay, they provided a guests’ parking slip for display on the dashboard. The place was huge & parking was always available; only distance sets the vehicle apart from us. They also provide free shuttle service around the resort. Check-in was fast as there was no one else then. Staff very knowledgeable & helpful. We had to pay the tourist fee of RM10/night; total was RM20 for 2 nights. This is non-refundable. We also had to prepare a refundable deposit of RM150 for our stay. This was returned when we checked out, provided there were no incidentals during our stay. Check-out was fast & hassle-free. 3-min walk to Block F. Our room was the 1-bedroom suite on the fifth floor. The balcony opened up to the water theme park, which really excite the kids. Noise might be an issue for units facing the pool. If you need some peace, get units that face the other side. There are 3 swimming pools to go to. 1 is the kid’s water playground, which includes the wading pool & lazy pool. Get a room in block A to G and one that faces the water playground. Such fun times here with the kids. Bring along their soaker guns, floats & what nots. The epic bucket on the top of the playground is a gigantic coconut! The next pool is nearer to the gym & coffee house and the other one is at the other block (H-S), which we did not go to. You will need a towel coupon to get pool towels from the small towel huts. There are provision shops in the resort, which opens at 7am and one, which closes at 11pm. Walking around the resort, shows you how much manpower & attention has been focused on; something that creates the holiday experience for guests. You can find a so-called bird sanctuary, which houses different kinds of peacock & some geese. Room amenities, fixtures, appliances & furniture were all good. It’s really good to know that the resort has done so much to upkeep this aged resort. Where worn fittings were concerned, they all worked! Breakfast was served at Teratai Coffee House. But on Sunday morning, breakfast was served at the multi-purpose hall, which is beside the beach. All tables & chairs were set as a huge banquet for 500 pax. There were many selections for breakfast; too much to list here. I had 5 courses & really enjoyed myself. The restaurant in the resort serves Thai Fusion delicacies. We had dinner on the first night & it was really good. The Mango Thai salad was the highlight & total bill was value for money. There were also 2 other Thai restaurants 15-20 mins out by walking. These were nearer towards another resort. We did not dine there. There is also a spa in the resort. Very early closing time 8pm & their price is kind of steep for their service. So we decided to give it a miss. The resort provides service for BBQ if you need to organise one. They also have a ballroom & meeting rooms. Drive out 7 mins & you will be in their small town with many shops to walk around. This is not Bandar Penawar and you will see this place on your way to Lotus Resort. We had lunch there, bought some household stuff & pillows too! I’d give a 5-star deal but due to the housekeeping mishap, I have lowered to a 4-star. Our room was made, towels taken but not replaced. It also took 3 phone calls to housekeeping then front desk and then housekeeping again. And lastly after an hour, we came out to look for those housekeeping carts and found one nearby. It was an effort made by us to get our towels. All in all, it was a pleasant stay. Kudos to the staff for their patience & smiles. Thank you Lotus Desaru for our good holiday…

Came with my family members to this resort and had a great time. However this hotel show signs of ageing which might not be visually appealing to certain visitors but not for me. The rooms are pretty close to the seafront which is just 5 minutes walk away. Overall had a great experience although some foods might taste a little to bland to my taste.

I had booked a family trip since 8Jan2018 and the booking was confirmed by the resort. Last 2 weeks ago suddenly the resort staff called and informed me that their rooms were overbooked and requested us to change the stay either 1 week earlier or only can stay 1 night(my booking is 3days 2nights). I had rejected their suggestion because not easy for me to gather all 11 adults and 4 children together, what a joke resort could request us to change the travel date in so last minutes??? After that Tuesday(10 April) another call again and want to transfer us to another resort. I asked her send the new resort details via email but until now received nothing until now. The new resort is lousy? dare not to send me? Furthermore I did asked the resort manager to contact also no response at all, NUMBER L resort service level!

There is really nothing wrong with the Beach Resort, is been beautifully maintained, painted and kept tidy. The resort is not a very exclusive resort and don't expect 5 star amenities here, It is what you pay for. Rooms are good, basic fitted out, everything works, My Aircon in the upstairs room did not work, i reported it and withing 1hr was fixed up. Towels in room is very old, clean but thin old and washed out. There is little golf carts that transport you around the area, as the Resort is very large and to walk from Block L at the top of the resort to Main admin/ Pool block is a stretch away. Room Tip, Don't get room in Block L or D, ask for closer to main building like B. beach facilities is good, Jet-ski was running very well and had a good time. Nice and Ice Cold beers at the Tropical bar with a nice breeze from the Ocean, was peaceful and quit, not a lot of children when i was there. Had Crayfish and Prawns, which was the best i had in years, Flame grilled and served hot. Check in and out was smooth. They do control a little in terms of wristbands for pool swimming, Towel cards to get a towel. Overall not bad, not a brilliant awesome stay, but nothing really to fault, The resort is old but is kept up nicely. I will come back again, was worth the price you pay.

Phe place is very cool, only 1 hs away fm singapore and great for a weekedn gateway. The beach is nice, and there are many food options. People is very friendly and helpfull. Many options, speacial for kids.
